Akemi Chandler is an actress from Farmington, Connecticut. She was born at New Britain General hospital, in New Britain, Connecticut; on March 6, 1986. She is the youngest of three children. She has two older brother's, her eldest is also a fellow actor and dancer and her second eldest is doctor. Born to Meiko Imai Larsen, a human resources specialist and DL Chandler, an architect, there was no indication of the performing arts in her family.
Starting her career out in school productions, she began to fall in love with the stage and with acting. After a couple years of doing stage work outside of school, Akemi decided to transition into film. After deciding to transition, she got an extra role in a police drama pilot. Then she got a supporting role in a short film called After I Woke, written and directed by Ali Robins. And soon after that she got another role, supporting lead in a short film called Analy, also written and directed by Ali Robins.
Akemi is also passionate about writing her own screenplays/screenwrites, photography, painting, designing, and spending time with her family, friends and dog.
