Jack Tewksbury
- Additional Crew
- Producer
Jack Tewksbury, who has seen the world began his career as a dashing
young NYU boy working in New York as a reporter for Motion Picture
Daily and Radio-TV Daily, and later as a publicist for legendary
producer Joe LeVine (whose Embassy Pictures produced Mel Brooks' The Producers).
Always interested in comedy he and his pals then bored by the calm in the middle of the night while waiting for news to happen, would play games to see who could make up the most ridiculous story and get the AP guy to send it across the wires worldwide.
Moving to Hollywood, he became the movie columnist for the Quebec-Chronicle-Telegraph.
Joining the HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association) he became a nine-times Executive Producer of NBC's The Globes Show. He has been a writer and editor for the Golden Globes Website. As a member of The Hollywood Foreign Press Association for 30 years, he served as Treasurer and Board member and has written many thousands of articles in hundreds of global publications.
Jack is also a Vice President of The Young Artist Awards, bringing strong recognition to today's younger performers.
Today the world wide web makes truth and accuracy a touch more accessible, so Jack when gets a little bored he tends to use his comedy in more subtle ways.
