A day after Paramore clinched two trophies during Sunday’s Grammys 2024, the band took to social media to remark on their historic win and to shed some light on their absence from the star-studded ceremony.
“First off, infinite thanks to our fans, our team, and the voting academy for making This Is Why such a moment for us, 20 years into our career,” wrote frontwoman Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro in a statement shared to Instagram on Monday.

Hayley Williams and her Paramore band members have a tape they’d like to play for you. Not long after parting ways with Atlantic Records to become an independent rock band, Paramore is teasing a partnership with A24 to release a 16-track Stop Making Sense tribute album inspired by the life-altering album and concert performance by the Talking Heads. While details remain a mystery, the project teases “16 tracks from 16 artists.”
Paramore is singer Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro. Recently, the band created a panic among its fanbase when rumors about them breaking up circulated online. The nail-biting occurred when the band removed its website and scrubbed its social media platforms. However, the band has no intention of parting ways—quite the opposite. In addition to announcing the Stop Making Sense tribute album, Paramore will support Taylor Swift on her sold-out Eras arena tour in 2024.

Paramore fans everywhere are getting out their paint and brushes to apply a full face of clown makeup. At the end of 2023, the band’s social media were wiped clean, and their website was deemed inaccessible, stirring up rumors that they had called it quits for the umpteenth time. But behind the scenes, Paramore were recalibrating following the conclusion of their 20-year recording contract with Atlantic Records and preparing to launch their next chapter.

The “Still Into You” rockers wiped their social media accounts, going as far as to remove their profile pictures on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). Their official website also is no longer active, taking visitors to a “404 Not Found” landing page.
What’s more, the trio recently had to cancel a planned performance at the iHeartRadio ALTer Ego.
All of this together did add up to concerns that Paramore was no more. However, that does not appear to be the case!

The night before Paramore released their sixth studio album This Is Why, they shared a list of all the things they were thinking about while working on the LP: Agoraphobia. Cabin fever. American Psycho. One point read: “Confused about the difference between selfishness and self-preservation.”
“Making This Is Why was not a comfortable experience for any of us,” frontwoman Hayley Williams says. The album did not come easy: There was worry born from the pandemic, but also the lingering uncertainty that has followed Paramore over the last 20 years. This Is Why,...

Earlier this week, Paramore announced Re: This Is Why, an almost remixed version of their latest album This Is Why.
The trio – Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Zac Farro – dropped their new album earlier this year, and now, have brought in other artists to re-work the songs off of the album.
“We’ve long wanted to recognize the connection we have with some of the artists who’ve influenced us as a band and/or who have cited our band as an influence,” they shared on Instagram. “Re: This Is Why is almost a remix album. Some of the songs have been remixed sort of classically, while others were reworked or rewritten. It’s incredible to hear all our worlds colliding.”
So, who’s on the album?

During a Paramore concert, singer Hayley Williams removed two of the fans from the show.
This occurred last week at Madison Square Garden when a disagreement happened between the two people. She told them “to find somewhere else to take care of that shit because that’s not happening here tonight, this is our house.”
Videos of the altercation have been circling on various social media platforms, including TikTok.
She has now apologized for the way she spoke to the fans and posted a statement on Paramore’s Discord.
In the statement she tried to explain why she acted this way: “My insides were triggered from numerous personal experiences not fit for a blog post or a microphone on stage at an arena. My outsides were trying to maintain control of a situation I felt that myself and my bandmates were responsible for. Without the opportunity for a proper back and forth,...

The only thing more jarring than watching an illustrious band tear apart at the seams in real-time is being in the band itself while it’s happening. This was Hayley Williams’ experience as Paramore began to fall apart following the release of their third studio album Brand New Eyes, in 2009. Within a year, guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zac Farro had departed, and the external perception that followed suggested that Williams was the one poisoning the band from the inside out.

Hayley in Wonderland has a nice ring to it. In the music video for Paramore’s latest single, “Running Out of Time,” from This Is Why, frontwoman Hayley Williams slips into a guitar case that doubles as a portal, desperate to get away from the studio instruments that have somehow come to life and grown ten times their original size.
When Williams emerges on the other side, it’s in a vibrantly colored world where the time-related anxieties she sings about in the song don’t necessarily disappear, but she...

Contrary to the name of the track Paramore performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night, the band made it to the late-night stage without any schedule-related issues, rocking out to “Running Out of Time” in a rather timely manner.
“Never mind, I hit the snooze on my alarm twenty times/But I was just so tired,” Hayley Williams sighed dramatically while singing, worn out from recalling all of the tasks she meant to complete but never got around to. “There was traffic, spilled my coffee, crashed my car, otherwise/Woulda been here on time.

“War’s on the side of the planet/ And I’ve got a war right behind my eyes,” yelps Hayley Williams on Paramore’s sixth album. Exorcising the angst of 2022 to an elasticated post-punk beat, the 33-year-old frontwoman speaks to the struggle of many “safe, privileged” Westerners to find “a balance between apathy and righteous rage”. She continues: “I worry and I give money and I feel useless behind this computer and that’s just barely scratched the surface of my mind…”

Paramore have mastered the art of maturing gracefully. Beginning with the band’s self-titled 2013 album, they have slowly peeled themselves away from the mainstream emo/pop-punk world they once dominated (all while dealing with constant lineup shake-ups). In the process, Paramore have found themselves attached to a different kind of musical nostalgia, zeroing in on the slick sounds of Eighties rock and New Wave without so much as a hint of corny pastiche. As omnivorous fans and champions of younger artists, they always remain steeped in pop’s ever-evolving present.

Paramore have removed former band member Jeremy Davis from the artwork of their self-titled album.
Released in 2013 and featuring the singles “Now” and “Still Into You”, Paramore featured album art showing Davis, singer Hayley Williams and guitarist Taylor York stood against a black background.
On Tuesday (15 November), Kerrang reported that the picture had been swapped out on streaming for an image of a person with red hair (presumably Williams) wearing a denim jacket emblazoned with the words “grow up”.
It is not known when the album art was changed, but many fans have speculated that it is a move to further distance themselves from Davis.
The bassist left the pop punk band in December 2015, having previously departed then returned in 2005 and 2007 respectively.
Months after his final departure, the musician sued Paramore twice, claiming he wasn’t fairly paid for his contributions to the group. The lawsuit was settled in May 2017.

Hayley Williams is making sure her concerts are safe places to be. In the middle of a Nov. 7 Paramore show in Toronto, Williams paused the performance to shut down a fight that had broken out. Some fans documented the pause in series of videos, which show how it all happened.
"Stop," she said at one point. "Everyone Ok?" She then noticed that some fans were fighting in the crowd. "Oh man, what do you guys think this is, like, a terror show? We're not a hardcore band, bro, come on," she said. "We're gonna dance tonight, we're gonna have fun, or we're not gonna do it." She then called out the people creating the chaos. "You Ok? Are you Ok? Do you want to split up? Got me up here acting like a teacher. Detention for everyone."

Taylor York and Hayley Williams have been playing on stage together since he joined Paramore in 2007. In a Sept. 29 interview with The Guardian about the group's upcoming album, "This Is Why," they confirmed that after over 15 years of creative collaboration, they're officially dating. Reps for York and Williams did not immediately respond to Popsugar's request for comment.
Williams was previously married to New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert, but the pair divorced in 2017. The fallout of their relationship inspired Paramore's 2017 album, "After Laughter." Afterward, the band took a step back from the spotlight to reflect and reform, and at the time, fans began to suspect that Williams and York were a couple, particularly after they shared similar pictures on their Instagram Stories in 2018.

Hayley Williams has been the face of Paramore for over half her life, so you better believe she knows how to put on a show. When examining pop-rock’s quirky bombast during the 2000s, there’s hardly a more apt representation than Williams wielding a carrot microphone onstage at Warped Tour, with flaming hair to match. Even as a teenager, Williams boasted operatic vocals – more suitable for heavy metal than a pop act – and on Paramore’s early efforts, she used them primarily to proclaim her Christian faith. But as the band matured,...

Paramore delivered a spry rendition of their Eighties-pop tinged single "Told You So" on The Late Late Show With James Corden Wednesday. The track appears on the band's new album, After Laughter.
The band dashed through the track while bathed in red light and wearing matching red berets. While guitarist Taylor York picked out bubbly riffs and Zac Farro laid down a sugar-rush beat, singer Hayley Williams commandeered the band with a spirited vocal performance packed with equal parts power pop and punk energy. New York — Hayley Williams of Paramore said joining rapper B.o.B on the hip-hop groove "Airplanes" helped her band realize they needed to take more chances.
The monster jam sold more than 4 million tracks and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2011. Williams said the song's success came at a perfect time: Two of the members of Paramore left the group, and the newly formed trio began work on their fourth album and wanted to expand beyond their signature punk-rock sound.
"Our fans were so into it, I felt like (B.o.B's) fans were into it and ... I just realized it's good to take risks," the bright-haired 24-year-old singer said in a recent interview. "And I think that (it) kind of really fell into place at the right time because when it came time to write this record, it was all about taking risks and following what we...
