It is directed by Anil Paduri and has been written by Puri Akash’s father Puri Jagannadh. The film’s star cast also includes Mandira Bedi and Divyadarshini aka Dd in pivotal roles. It may be noted here that though Mandira has acted in several Hindi films, Romantic will be her second Telugu flick. Her first Tollywood film was the Prabhas starrer Saaho.

The director had completed the shooting of the film Mehbooba, which stars his young son Akash in the lead. Touted to be a romantic entertainer, the film has been shot extensively in the northern parts of India. According to sources, the shooting of Mehbooba has been wrapped up recently and it has gone into the post production mode. Apart from donning the director’s robes, Puri Jagannath is also producing it under his own banner.
