M.S. Daniel
M.S. Daniel was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to a diverse Indian family of engineers, diplomats, and playwrights who settled in Annapolis, Maryland at the age of two. After growing up a stone's throw from the Naval Academy, Daniel relocated to the southwest and attended the University of Texas at Austin to study piano performance and jazz composition. In Austin, Daniel worked on a wide range of musical projects, including a 24-piece big band and went on to receive a Grammy nomination.
Now a screenwriter and novelist, Daniel has enjoyed putting millions of words to the page via screenplays that have garnered numerous film festival and competition awards, including Script Pipeline (Top 20 Finalist), StoryPros Awards (Grand Prize Winner), CineStory Foundation, Independent Film Awards (Gold Winner), Barcelona International Film Festival (Grand Jury Prize), Austin Film Festival (First Prize), PAGE Awards (First Prize), Beverly Hills Screenplay Competition, Nicholl Fellowship, and many more. Daniel's latest novel "The Red Circle" won the Chanticleer Book Review Clue Award for spy/espionage. Daniel continues to reside in Austin, Texas.
