Joe Fathers
- Make-Up Department
Joe was born in Gravesend, Kent, UK, to Mary and Nigel
Fathers. He has one older brother, Sam. He was first introduced to
performing arts at St.Johns Primary School (Gravesend) at the age of 7,
and hasn't looked back since. During his time at Gravesend Grammar
School Joe could always be found in or around the Drama department and
credits his passion to the visual side of the arts to his teacher,
Steve De La Mare.
Joe has worked at several charity theatres and it is through one of these, Walk Tall Charity Theatre, that he was introduced to film and cinematography. While working on a few projects with them he found that he had a skill for archiving great shots no matter what the conditions and this can be seen in "A History of Swanscombe" the documentary that he worked on shortly before departing from Walk Tall for Bite the Ballot.
Joe spent 18 months working for Bite the Ballot as their technical consultant before leaving in September 2011, in this time he filmed over 40 hours of footage for them, edited 15 advert clips and aided in the production of their TV pilot show.
Joe can now be found at Woodshed Theatre Company as well as being a director of his own events and production company (MR Events) with a friend from college Matthew Bartlett.
