Ghost Killers vs. Bloody Mary
If bustin’ makes you feel good, Ghost Killers vs. Bloody Mary should be at the top of your queue. Imagine Sam Raimi remaking Ghostbusters from a Kevin Williamson script, and you have a pretty good idea of what this Brazilian horror-comedy is like: gory, self-aware, irreverent, and wildly entertaining.
When a local high school summons Bloody Mary, the Ghoulbusters — a team of local YouTubers with a cheesy ghost hunting show — are called in to take out the vengeful spirit. Genre icons Dee Wallace – whose credits include The Hills Have Eyes, The Howling, Cujo, and Critters – and Felissa Rose – who will always be remembered for playing Angela in Sleepaway Camp – have signed on to star in the horror film The Boy from Below alongside Richie Ramone, who was the drummer for The Ramones from 1983 to 1987. Directed by Tory Jones, The Boy from Below is described as being a “retelling” of Jones’ 2017 film The Wicked One (which previously received a sequel titled Wicked Ones).
Jones had this to say about the project: “In 2014, I set out to create a new slasher character reminiscent of the horror heavyweights of films past. This would lead to the creation of The Wicked One, a corrupted teen who transforms into a hulking psychopath in a scarecrow mask. It would take two years, but finally The Wicked One premiered at Fright Night Film Festival 2016 to a...

Eastern Kentucky's own Jonestown Films, in association with Silver Chain Films, has a home invasion movie that is sure to have you locking your doors at night and maybe even installing a deadbolt or two.
The Killbillies family certainly look like people you don't want showing up at your house after the sun goes down ... or at noon for that matter.
The Killbillies was written, directed and produced by Tory Jones and stars Stacey Gillespie, Brandon Leslie, Bj McGee, Bobby Jones, Kayla Perkins, John Shockley, Tammy Baker and Randall Edwards. It's a low-budget effort, but you don't need big dollars to make a bunch of mountain men busting into your home scary, do you?
The word is that Jonestown Films is already planning a sequel to The Killbillies, which is yet to be released. Now that's positive thinking! You can see more on the film at The Killbillies website and...
