The Biggest Loser's two-hour live finale was one to remember as trainer Dolvett Quince tried on contestant Vinny Hickerson's retired oversized overalls, and competitor Jennifer Rumple, who won the $100,000 at-home prize, was handed a giant bouquet of flowers by her crush, trainer Bob Harper. But the night belonged to John Rhode, who took home the title of the Biggest Loser and the grand prize of $250,000 after beating out the other top three players, Antone Davis and Ramon Medeiros. "I still don't know how I did it, but I'm grateful," the season 12 winner, who began the show weighing 445 lbs. and ended at 220 lbs.

"The Biggest Loser" Season 12 came to a conclusion last night with a nail-biting live weigh-in. Last week's grueling desert marathon whittled the contestants down to the final three: Ramon Medeiros, Antone Davis and John Rhode. Which one was got to take home the $250,000 grand prize and the title of 'The Biggest Loser?'
Before the big reveal, the other competitors took to the stage to show off their new looks and tell viewers how they have fared since leaving the ranch. The three who'd lost the most weight since being eliminated from the show -- Jennifer, Vinny and Patrick -- were up for the "at-home" prize of $100,000.
Although they'd all lost serious amounts of weight, it was a delighted Jennifer who claimed the prize. She's lost almost half her body weight -- 145 lbs. -- since embarking on her "Biggest Loser" journey.
Then the final three walked out onto the stage.

A season dubbed "The Battle of the Ages" came down to a battle between Ramon Medeiros, Antone Davis and John Rhode last night, as each man vied for the $250,000 grand prize on The Biggest Loser.
And while all three impressed on the scales - Davis lost 45.19% of his initial weigh-in figure; while Medeiros went from 355 pounds to 201 - the numbers don't lie:
John Rhode is your champion!
This 41-year from Mesa, Arizona - who works as a special education teacher and football coach - lost 220 total pounds throughout the competition, weighing in last night at 220 pounds, down 49.44% from his opening weight of 445.
Truly amazing. A feat worthy of such a large check. Congratulations, John!

John Rhode has been crowned the winner of The Biggest Loser: Battle of the Ages. The 40-year-old Mesa, Arizona native beat out runner-up Antone Davis and third place winner Ramon Medeiros to take home the title of the Biggest Loser as well as the $$250,000 (£161,416) cash prize during Tuesday night's live finale. Rhode, who began his journey at 445lb, weighed in at 225lb after stepping on the scale for the final time. That number was enough to beat out Davis' 202lb loss and Medeiro's 154lb drop. He attributed much of his success to having the support of his wife, who was in attendance during the broadcast, telling her: "Baby, I didn't waste a single minute on the ranch. The sacrifices I made there will never match what you've done for me. "I owe you a debt of gratitude forever and I love you from the bottom of (more)...

A winner was crowned on "The Biggest Loser: Battle of the Ages" Tuesday night (Dec. 13) - was it Ramon Medeiros, Antone Davis or John Rhode?
The winner was John Rhode, who started the show at 445 lbs. His final weight was 225 lbs, for a loss of 220 lbs. and 49.44% of his starting weight. Goodness.
The other two didn't have bad showings either, of course. Antone Davis came in second. He went from 447 lbs to 245 lbs, which is a loss of 202 lbs, or 45.19%. Ramon Medeiros was third, going from 355 lbs to 201 lbs, or a loss of 43.38%.
In the at-home challenge for the eliminated contestants, the final three came down to Vinny Hickerson, Patrick Ferrari and Jennifer Rumple. Jennifer won the $100,000, having lost almost 44% of her starting weight of 330 lbs. Vinny came very close, needing only three more pounds to beat Jennifer, but she pulled it out.

Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney has predicted that tonight's live finale will be "an exciting" event because the three finalists are so closely matched. John Rhode, Ramon Medeiros and Antone Davis will compete for the title of 'The Biggest Loser' and the $$250,000 prize on tonight's live finale from 9/8c on NBC. Speaking on Today this morning, the host said: "It's a really exciting finale because all three guys are so close. They've all worked so hard for it. Ramon is really young so maybe that energy and youthful enthusiasm will push him over the edge. John has wanted it from day one, he's literally wanted to win from the moment he set foot on campus, and Antone is an athlete, a former NFL player, so he certainly has game too." Sweeney added: "It's going to be a great show (more)...

It's a man's world on this season of The Biggest Loser: For the first time ever, there will be no female contestant competing in the finale. Instead, ex-nfl player Antone Davis, special education teacher John Rhode and tattoo artist Ramon Medeiros, who earned his spot finishing first in the Biggest Loser marathon, will battle it out for the season 12 title. The smallest of the three finalists, Medeiros, 27, is confident he can take the down the big guys. "David slayed Goliath so I can do it," he says. "I'm the strongest I've ever felt." Medeiros has been keeping up a rigorous exercise schedule,...

It seems like 'The Biggest Loser' could teach 'The Bachelor(ette)' a thing or two about finding real love on a TV show. Earlier this week recently eliminated contestant Ramon Medeiros told Wendy Williams that his time on the show was well spent. He lost a ton of weight, inspired his family to get fit with him and fell in love with fellow 'Loser' Jessica Limpert.
Now, in a refreshing change from the big rings and flashy engagements of other reality TV stars, he's told 'People' magazine that the couple plan to wed, but not just yet.
"It is in the cards for Jess and I to get married," Medeiros said. "But it will be in the future. We're a new couple, and we're going to just get into the real world now. I want to take it a little slow. We're not going anywhere,...

Ramon Medeiros may be the latest contestant eliminated from 'The Biggest Loser,' but his time on the show was well spent. He lost a ton of weight, inspired his family to get fit with him and fell in love with fellow contestant Jessica Limpert. Medeiros talked about all of the positive changes the weight-loss reality show fostered in his life on 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated on Fox).
Medeiros told Wendy about how his personal weight-loss experience rubbed off on his family. "I've changed a lot of their habits as well ... my dad has currently lost 75 pounds ... and I'm taking my mom and sister to the 'Biggest Loser' resort in Fitness Ridge in Malibu ... It's a whole lifestyle change, not just a diet," he explained.

Getting eliminated from The Biggest Loser is tough for any contestant. But when Jessica Limpert left the Ranch she was instantly separated from her new love, fellow contestant Ramon Medeiros. Perhaps trainer Anna Kournikova was right when she said their budding romance would be a distraction. But Limpert begs to differ. "People are going to doubt us, but we push each other so much we're strong together," she said during a conference call with reporters after her exit from the show. While Medeiros has no problem gushing about his romance on the Ranch an in front of the cameras, Limpert says she's "very private.
