The dominance of Justin and Diana has made season 27 of The Amazing Race hard to watch at times. It's just not too fun to watch a race with such a clear winner. The involvement of a U-Turn in this episode, "It's Always the Quiet Ones," changes all that. There's a real threat that the Green Team, or any strong team, could go home. It makes for the most exciting leg of The Amazing Race season 27 yet. The threat is even realized when the U-Turn is used, but is it used on the "right" team?...

The Green Team is unstoppable on The Amazing Race season 27. If there has ever been a team more dominant than Justin and Diana on The Amazing Race, I can't remember them. It's gotten to the point where I think even host Phil Keogan is getting a little bored of seeing Justin and Diana in first almost every leg. Is there anything The Amazing Race can do about Justin and Diana? More importantly, should they?...

The Amazing Race really needs a new title or at least this season needs a new subtitle. The Amazing Race should really be called The Amazing Race: Hunt of Justin and Diana. This is yet another race where Justin and Diana are so far ahead that first place is basically irrelevant. The remaining teams are racing against one another for second place. Despite what that suggests though, this was an actually an entertaining leg and it had one of the most surprising and emotional endings of the seasons.

The Amazing Race is picking up steam. The competition is getting tougher, as the weaker teams have been eliminated. Anyone could go home. Except maybe Justin and Diana, because some higher being thought it was a good idea to award Justin for his arrogance. He can't just say he's amazing at The Amazing Race; he has to actually be amazing at The Amazing Race. What do the chances look like for the other teams? Who is going home on Leg 8?...

After barely escaping elimination in the first leg of “The Amazing Race,” Justin and Diana quickly rebounded and are now, unequivocally, the strongest team this season. Since that first leg, the pair has not placed worse than 2nd in any of the following six legs and in four of those they finished first. Not surprisingly, they are once again predicted by our contest entrants to win this week’s leg of the race with 6/5 odds. Another such strong showing begs the question: Is there anyone left who can possibly beat them in the finals? Let’s run down Justin and Diana’s biggest threats. -Break- Subscribe to Gold Derby Breaking News Alerts & Experts’ Latest Oscar Predictions Tanner and Josh (odds to win: 11/10) Though Justin and Diana have dominated the race leg-by-leg, these Texas boys remain our users’ pick to win the whole thing. Leg 6 in Season 27 of The Amazing Race ended in a cliffhanger with no one eliminated. The teams probably won't be so lucky in Leg 7. One of the remaining seven teams has to go, so who will it be? As Justin and Diana begin to bicker more and more, is this the week that The Amazing Race front-runners finally lose their lead permanently?...

France has reputation for being the land of lovers. On this episode of The Amazing Race, that certainly wasn't the case. The teams headed to Paris this leg and fractures began to appear or grow wider within some of the teams. Most notably on the front runners, Justin and Diana. Diana who has been virtually silent for most of The Amazing Race emerged with a lot to say in leg six. Most of it was negative and directed at Justin. I can't say I blame her.

For the majority of The Amazing Race there's really been two standout teams in terms of personality and skill level. Tanner and Josh and Justin and Diana are the undeniable stars of Season 27 thus far. I suppose you could include Kelsey and Joey in that upper tier but they are more supporting players in the hostility between Team Green and Team Texas. A new power couple emerged in "King of the Jungle" and it was Logan and Chris. They didn't gain notoriety for being good at The Amazing Race. Actually, they were the very definition of a hot mess. Chris just became my favorite racer for his ability to have zero chill.

According to predictions made so far in our contest, it looks like tonight's episode of "The Amazing Race" will be the end of the road for Tiffany and Krista. Fate on "The Amazing Race" is always a fickle thing. Just ask Justin and Jennifer Young. One week after reaching the Pit Stop in first in one part of Malawi (they were penalized for not paying a driver and ended up in second), the bickering siblings were the last team to get to host Phil Keoghan in a different part of Malawi and were sent packing (not every week can be a Non-Elimination Leg). Make that "formerly bickering siblings." Justin and Jennifer spent the first couple "Amazing Race" episodes constantly mid-argument (with Jennifer as the regular instigator), but...

The No. 1 rule of The Amazing Race is to always read your clue — except Jennifer Young didn't have it on her. But instead of biking back to the start of the fish-delivering Roadblock, she chose to wait it out in the Malawian village, sealing her and brother Justin's fate. "I thought I had seen other teams in the same village, so I thought that we're all delivering to the same place and I'll wait for somebody. Yeah, no!" she tells TVGuide.com. "I found out later they were delivering to different places and there was another entrance to this village, so my plan did not work. ... After a while, I figured out that they must've already delivered or they went somewhere else to deliver, so I gotta get out of here." Find out how long she stood in the village — and how Justin and his fellow Racers did in the New York City Marathon.

Whether intentional or not, the theme of this week’s episode, "Move Goat," was physicality. Deep in the heart of Africa every aspect to the leg rewarded those who were fit and, most importantly, could make the correct decisions under the stress of exercise. It was awesome.
Shortly in to the leg the difficult nature was obvious. The Roadblock had the selected team member transporting a person on a bike with two seats to a destination both difficult to find and of a significant distance away. The distance speaks for itself in the challenge, but by forcing people to stop and ask for directions the challenge became more difficult because they had to keep restarting.
Next up was Detour where the option was a challenging canoe ride (Dugout) or transporting an obscene amount of cargo off a boat and on to the shore of Lake Malawi (Lugout). The Lugout option...

The Amazing Race is in Africa again this week. But This time, someone will be eliminated. And there will be a Double U Turn! A W Turn! Teams spent the night on the beds they carried. Andy and Tommy, who came in first, were in good spirits about it, unlike some of the other teams.
The snowboarders leave first for a bus ride to Salima. Justin and Jennifer leave next, followed by Jeremy and Sandy, and Laurence & Zac. They have $1 for this leg of the race. Ernie and Cindy leave next, and they are keeping an eye on Andy and Tommy, especially with that Double U Turn. Bill and Cathi leave, and Amani & Marcus leave last. They resolve to pay attention to the details.

This week’s episode of The Amazing Race, "We Love Your Country Already; It Is Very Spacious," was filled with many of the things we love about the show. Exotic locations, beautiful scenery, emotional moments and even a fun twist at the end.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t too much drama. So long as the teams could follow instructions – admittedly, not a guarantee – there were only minimal opportunities to gain ground on anyone in front of you.
The prime example of this tenant for this week was Amani and Marcus. The duo got off the plane in sixth place, did both challenges flawlessly and finished seventh. The only reason they dropped in the standings were because of two poor cab rides.
Point being, I would hope that the challenges live up to their name and are actually challenging enough where if teams complete them quickly, they gain ground on ones who don’t.

For as much negativity as I've talked about The Amazing Race this season, I have to begrudgingly give credit where credit is due. "We Love Your Country Already; It Is Very Spacious", while still very flawed, may have been the best episode of the show's 19th season and I was entertained during a vast majority of what went on.
I don't think the rest of the season had given Sunday night's episode much in the way of a bar to clear, but still, "We Love Your Country" managed to capture a tiny spark of what makes The Amazing Race such good television when it's on its game. The challenges were, shockingly enough, not offensively easy, which went a long way toward my enjoyment of the episode. I probably should hate something like Tobacco Bumper Cars (Tm), as it was all about physicality and quickness while vaguely hinting at the possibility of puzzledom,...
