Known for his Assassin skills: By Order Of The Peaky Blinders (2013) in Black Tuesday Season 5. To playing an investigating Police Officer in Bad Blood (2021) and other roles in The Messenger (2015) and All at Sea (2013).
Over the years I have got to play a variety of fun, weird and crazy roles, more recently I got the chance to act out even darker characters, like a Nazi Soldier in 'Forty-Two and also being part of the horror genre again with a terrorising evil role in Day of the Clones which I got to have fun with Green-Screen and understand a little of how Hugo Weaving felt playing Smith in Matrix Revolutions! Wait until you watch it, you'll understand! While filming I helped make props and Electronic Special Effects, these films are currently in Post-Production.
I am a Spotlight Member! I trained for a couple of years with David Johnsons Drama in Manchester. Before that I was studying drama in college and then night school learning about Shakespeare, Players, Monologues, Writing and the technical side both behind the curtain and the camera from Lighting, Sound and occasional Editing.
I have had experience of treading the boards quite a few times, from variety shows in College to Improv and a Musical Theatre Performance at Lancaster Grand playing a variety of characters dancing and singing criminals, A Russian Spy, Thug, Gimp and The Vipers Nest MC in Dick Barton Special Agent (photo below).
Trained in ECSPC Stage Combat: Medieval/Long Sword, Single Rapier & Unarmed Combat.
I also have Military Training and I am Weapons Trained.
I sometimes go to dancing events in Manchester for: Brazilian Zouk, Bachata and Salsa and I have also taken part in many of the International Zouk Day (IZD) Flash-mobs in Manchester City Centre over the years.
For the last few years I have been honing more outdoor survival skills and in the summer I work in the woods teaching Bushcraft Skills to young students with their teachers on school residentials.
As for acting, I really want to do more action roles and would love to play something like James Bond, but would settle to be his evil nemesis, or a villainous spy in the Mission Impossible films, now that would be a fun adventure!
Something I haven't had the chance to be yet, is a MARVEL or DC Superhero or even a Super Villain, I would jump at the chance, when I was a lad (Once upon a time) watching Christopher Reeves as Superman at the cinema in Monton as he caught Lois falling from the helicopter, still makes my hair stand up. I would train hard for a role like that (Examples in my Stage Combat Reel on SPOTLIGHT), let me get my cape.
Now that they have been making more game based movies, I would like to be Sam Fisher of Splinter Cell, or a F.E.A.R. Operative (I still love playing these games) or a character from Resident Evil or Silent Hill to many more. I don't get bored of being a villain, maybe there is still a chance to play more good guys....
I recently played an emotional rollercoaster ride of a role in a PTSD short Sweet Dreams, he was a good guy, but I guess you'll have to wait and see what happens, when that comes out to the film festivals in 2024....
I have also driven a few vehicles in the past for TV and film and you may have seen a Police Officer driving a green police van in Northern Soul with big sideburns....
I do like driving and quite adept at it, who knows maybe a role in one of these epic movies mentioned above, but with car chases would be an awesome opportunity, especially something like the next Fast & Furious, who knows where this dream will take me, if it's fun.... Which I am sure it will be... Just sign me up!"
