Below you'll find Arthur Adams' 6 interlocking covers for issues #157 - #162 of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard's The Walking Dead, which mark the beginning of a brand new storyline known as "The Whisperer War". The title is fairly self-explanatory, and the covers depict the likes of Rick, Carl, Michonne and Andrea locked in brutal battle with their enemies - but is that Negan fighting alongside them? His recent actions did suggest he wanted to get on Rick's good side, but how on earth can the group trust a man that caused them so much misery? "The Whisperer War" begins this week in The Walking Dead #157, and continues through #162.

All Out War was just the beginning. Just when Rick and his band of survivors were making a nice life for themselves at Alexandria and the Hilltop, they are introduced to a new threat that made their encounter with Negan seem insignificant… The Whisperers. I won’t spoil things for those that haven’t read The Walking Dead #156, but tomorrow sees the start of The Whisperer War story arc that puts Negan back in the middle of the action.
Ahead of tomorrow’s first issue in what is sure to be a game-changing story arc, we have a look at new artwork from Arthur Adams & Nathan Fairbairn that paints a bloody picture of what’s to come.

In recent years, comics conventions have become less about the comics creators, who crafted (and continue to craft) the characters beloved by pop culture and more about celebrity guests. Yes, it is fun to get a picture made with your favorite Star Trek captain or Doctor Who companion, but from my personal experience as well as that of con-goers and the crowded nature of big shows like San Diego and New York Comic Con, it seems like the comics have been pushed aside for “geek culture” celebrities. Some conventions might as well take out the “comic” in “comic con”. However, some shows continue to put comics and creators first, and one of them is East Coast Comicon.
East Coast Comicon began as Asbury Park Comic Con and was held in 2012 at a converted bowling alley/rock club in Asbury Park, NJ. It was founded by independent comics creator Cliff Galbraith...

You might recall last summer how Legendary Pictures found a way to further plumb the vast depths of Guillermo Del Toro's "Pacific Rim" with a handsome, hardcover prequel graphic novel: "Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero." With cover art from celebrated artist Alex Ross and an "additive as opposed to adaptive" approach from writer Travis Beacham, the book filled in shades of information only alluded in the blockbuster film. This year, the production company has again commissioned the screenwriter of one of their big-budget extravaganzas to expand on its further-reaching details as "Godzilla: Awakening" hits shelves Wednesday ahead of the May 16 release of Gareth Edwards' "Godzilla." Much like "Tales from Year Zero," the 80-page "Awakening" stretches back to the beginnings of the plight evident in the feature. Screenwriter Max Borenstein jumped at the opportunity to work up the graphic novel with his cousin Greg as the two had...

Remember when Marvel passed the Superhero Registration Act?
It was after the soul was robbed from the New Warriors and Dwayne Taylor was dressing in drag as part of a reality show to earn back the wealth he lost (yes, for a time he was as rich as Batman then he was flat broke thanks to a botched research project.
The New Warriors reality show resulted in an explosion that killed hundreds and ignited politicians to lobby for a Superhero Registration Act. Captain America was against it. Iron Man was in favor of the act – and we all hated him for it. That was the beginning of Marvel’s Civil War. Heroes fighting heroes fighting politics, while worrying about plain old bad guys.
Now, GI Joe is heading down a similar route. Resurrected by Idw Publishing, GI Joe #1 will be relaunched on February 13, 2013.
GI Joe will no longer be a clandestine organization.
