James Brolin had some wise words to share with his son, Avengers: Endgame star Josh Brolin, set out to make his career in Hollywood.
The actor, 79, appeared on Access, where he spoke about giving Josh, 51, acting advice.
“I told him one thing a long time ago — he’s his own man, he has his own ideas — but I told him one great thing,” James said. “Don’t be a leading man, ever. Be a character actor and you’ll work forever.”
His reason for the surprising piece of wisdom? James said, “[A] leading man has a little time span [to work], he’s in and out.

Director Rob Willey has completed production on the wilderness based horror feature Dark Cove. This film was shot near Sombrio and French Beach in British Columbia. The film's official trailer shows some of the film's gorgeous settings, along with some of the movie's more nefarious characters. The clip is full of action and terror! Dark Cove involves a camping trip and five friends on a road trip. Together, Ian (Eliot Bayne), Quinn (Willey), Jen (Montanna McNalley), Joey (Rob Abbate), and Donnie (Cameron Crosby) find paradise. Partying and jokes run through the night. But, a hallucinogenic drug trip leads to a brutal situation; now, one person is dead and one group of Australian surfers is looking for revenge. Local director Rob Willey has recently released the first trailer for his upcoming feature Dark Cove. This camping-in-the-woods thriller deals with an adventurous surf trip that quickly spirals into chaos and murder. Dark Cove is currently just past the mid-point of shooting and Tall Grass Films has released a trailer for the feature. In the clip, most of the film's primary cast can be seen.
