Tomm began acting in high school (to impress a girl - it didn't work) He attended the Kirkcaldy College's Theatre Arts Programme, (as did Ewan McGregor and Dougray Scott in later years)
After college Tomm began working as a professional actor on stage in a number of festivals and stage productions. Television and film work included TV Commercial's, Finny, The Bruce, Macbeth, House of Mirth, Sword Of Honour, Hidden Persuaders, Running in Traffic and The Black Blade.
He continues to work in a variety of mediums, educational shows, local radio plays, public appearances as Charles the 1st, Robert the Bruce, General John Forbes. He has played everything from Shakespearean Kings and Sherlock Holmes to serial killers and Santa.
