To say that things have been bleak for Jim Carrey ever since his girlfriend Cathriona White committed suicide would be an understatement. While the comedian’s career hasn’t been at its peak since the mid to late 90s, Carrey was still picking up roles and in a reasonably “happy” place or so it would seem. But everything seems to have come crumbling down when White committed suicide as a result of overdosing on prescription drugs. These drugs however, were supplied by Carrey, according to White’s family. White’s family is now suing Carrey claiming the Hollywood actor was complicit in the 30-year-old

There’s no question at all the Jim Carrey hasn’t been the same since his girlfriend Cathriona White took her own life. Jim Carrey’s suicidal girlfriend wrote him a disturbing letter just weeks before she died, saying she was “damaged and disgusting” after being infected with three STDs. Cathriona’s ex husband, Mark Butler, sued Carrey over his estranged wife’s death, released text messages between the pair, which appeared to show Carrey ditching her after she revealed her Std fears. It’s been nearly three years since the suicide that occurred on September 28th, 2015. I don’t care who you are, what you

In the motion filed on Monday on behalf of Carrey, Eagan calls the lawsuit a "shameful shakedown for money driven solely by the greed of Brigid Sweetman," and claims that Sweetman is seeking to profit from the death of her "long-estranged" daughter. In the latest salvo in a bitter legal battle, Jim Carrey has accused his late girlfriend Cathriona White‘s mother of making irrelevant and false allegations against him in her wrongful death lawsuit.
In court documents obtained by People, Carrey has asked the judge to strike all allegations and mentions of him suffering from multiple STDs and passing them to White during their relationship, calling the claims “irrelevant” to the case.
Carrey, 54, also points out that in two of White’s suicide notes, she wrote lovingly of him, describing him as family — and makes no mention of Brigid Sweetman, her mother.

Jim Carrey told a big ol’ whopper about not having STDs in a declaration he filed this week, according to the attorney for the mother of Carrey’s deceased ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White. In a declaration filed this week, Carrey adamantly denied transmitting sexually transmitted diseases to White — a denial that an attorney for White’s mother, Brigit Sweetman, ripped to shreds in his own declaration, filed Thursday. “Mr. Jim Carrey and his attorneys have unfortunately taken considerable steps to mislead this Court,” attorney Michael Avenatti said in his declaration. “Indeed, Carrey, in a desperate effort to save his career and false persona,...

Jim Carrey has fired back in a lawsuit filed by the mother of his deceased ex-girlfriend Cathriona White, claiming that White’s mother considered taking her own life because she felt she was being blamed for her daughter’s suicide. In a declaration filed Tuesday, Carrey states that White’s mother, Brigit Sweetman — who filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Carrey earlier this month — emailed him after White’s September 2015 death, complaining that people were blaming her for her daughter’s suicide because of a “terrible Facebook message” she had sent White.
