Animal Planet has canceled “Tanked” after 15 seasons, a rep for the cable channel tells TheWrap.
“After 15 fantastic seasons the series came to a natural end late last year,” an Animal Planet spokesman told TheWrap.
Though news of the show’s cancellation just recently became public, the series’ co-star Brett Raymer told the local Las Vegas Fox station that Animal Planet shuttered the program back on Dec. 20.

Animal Planet has ended the 15-year run of Tanked, but claims the ending came naturally and is not related to a recent domestic disturbance involving a host.
“After 15 fantastic seasons, the series came to a natural end late last year,” confirmed Paul Schur, the VP communications/media relations at Animal Planet.
The team from Las Vegas’s Acrylic Tank Manufacturing was the focus of the show, which spotlighted exotic, unusual, colorful and dangerous fish in captivity via elaborate aquariums.
Wayde King and Brett Raymer were the co-hosts, tasked with building the enormous tanks and aquariums for top celebrities, luxury hotels and casinos, and other outlets. Atm builds more than 200 projects each year, according to its website, with tanks ranging from 50 to one million gallons in size.
King and wife Heather were involved in a domestic violence dispute earlier this month, with Heather arrested. She has since filed for divorce.

In Friday's (March 14) episode of Animal Planet's "Tanked," aquarium experts Wayde King and Brett Raymer of the Las Vegas-based Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (Atm) head to Statesville, N.C., to meet a racing legend and help rescue some of God's critters.
Newman, who drives for Richard Childress Racing, and his wife, Krissie, own Rescue Ranch, a non-profit animal-welfare organization founded in January 2012, which helps to end pet overpopulation and provide humane care.
Atm takes on the challenge of creating a desk-shaped freshwater tank for Newman, that not only features fish but reproductions of some of his favorite pets -- such as a bulldog, a Laborador retriever, rabbits, turtles and snakes -- all surrounding a realistic-looking Nascar helmet.
"He bought 200 acres for his wife," King tells Zap2it, "and they save animals. They bring them to the ranch, and they have an education program so that kids can learn about the animals and touch them.

Just in case you weren't sure what the most ridiculous kind of car was, Toyota has arrived with the winning entry. The auto manufacturer has unveiled a Highlander SUV with some serious "SpongeBob SquarePants" flavor. The Toyota "SpongeBob SquarePants" Highlander: "Tanked" Edition debuted at the 2013 Sema aftermarket auto parts trade show in Las Vegas.
The vehicle features an 800-gallon aquarium built into it, which can hold roughly 115 fish. The aquarium was built for the car by Wayde King and Brett Raymer, stars of "Tanked" on Animal Planet.
Their tank build was documented for the show, with an expected air date in March 2014. "The teams at Toyota and Nickelodeon gave us great platforms in the Highlander and 'SpongeBob SquarePants' to create something fun and inspiring for fans," King says.

Whether or not it's because his custom-aquarium business, Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (Atm) of Las Vegas, is featured on Animal Planet's Friday-night hit "Tanked," Wayde King recently found himself the target of a heartbreaking theft.
In late January, thieves broke into Atm, which doubled as home to some of King's many pets, including several exotic birds. The culprits, who also stole puppies from local pet stores, took King's cockatoo and three macaws, along with four bearded dragon reptiles.
At last report, three of the birds were recovered, with one macaw still missing.

Zap2it: On Saturday, April 14, Animal Planet premieres a second season of your show, "Tanked," about the custom acrylic fish tank business you run in Las Vegas with your brother-in-law, Wayde King. How did you guys wind up on television?

And I told my brother-in-law, "Aw, you don't work that much anyway, so you might as well try to get us on TV." And five years later, we're on television.
Zap2it: Do you build and maintain all the tanks yourself, or do you work with other companies?

NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has always been a bit eccentric. Case in point - changing his name from Chad Johnson to Chad Ochocinco (he wears #85). Now it turns out the eccentricities translate to his pad as well.

And Evelyn tweets, "Tank is very quiet. What's even more crazy is that there are a group of fish that watch the TV lol."
