Boy Meets World, starring Danielle Fishel, Ben Savage and Rider Strong, was a hit coming-of-age TV series that ran from 1993-2000. It provided plenty of young viewers on-screen proxies for their own ups and downs with adolescence and young adulthood. Without a doubt, the element that made the show so meaningful to so many was the connections between the characters.
It’s hard to imagine that the show almost didn’t include one of its most famous couples: Cory and Topanga.
On ‘Boy Meets World,’ Danielle Fishel played Topanga
Boy Meets World is remembered today for its core cast of characters. That includes best friends Cory (Ben Savage) and Shawn (Rider Strong), their teacher Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), and Cory’s brother Eric (Will Friedle). The list would not be complete without Cory’s long-time girlfriend and eventual wife, Topanga (Danielle Fishel).
Topanga was an important part of the series for its entire seven-year run.

Fox Entertainment’s ad-supported streamer Tubi has ordered the TV movie “Classmates,” from the wife and husband team of Danielle Fishel (“Boy Meets World”) and Jensen Karp. Fishel directed and Karp wrote the film, which will debut in 2023.
Anjelica Bette Fellini (“The French Dispatch”) and Kayden Muller-Janssen (“The Villains of Valley View”) star in the film as former high school classmates Anabella and Raury, who have their identities swapped on the first day of college due to a computer hack.
Per the logline: “Despite entirely different backgrounds, races, and personalities, Anabella convinces Raury to leave the mistake uncorrected. The decision to go with the flow creates a massive ripple effect when one of their parents’ shady dealings puts them both in danger. Together, the girls find themselves running for their lives and must put aside their differences if they want to survive. Of course, the best of enemies often become the best of friends,...

A year after Kroq veteran Ted Stryker and radio partner Kevin Klein moved to the station’s A.M. slot — in a hasty shift after the station fired morning hosts Kevin Ryder, Allie Mac Kay and Jensen Karp — Stryker is departing the show.
Stryker announced the news on his Twitter account: “After more than 22 years at Kroq, I can proudly say with infinite gratitude that I will be leaving my full time position and stepping away from Stryker and Klein,” he wrote. “What’s next for me? I’ve got a lot of things planned on the horizon (stay tuned). In the meantime, my Out of Order show will continue to air on weekends on Kroq and around the country. (Baby) boy meets world—well, in a few months. Danielle Fishel took to Instagram on May 5 to announce she and her husband Jensen Karp are expecting their second child. The news came on a very special day as it also marked the actress' 40th birthday. "F O R T Y!" she wrote alongside a photo of herself cradling her baby bump. "I've never been more excited or hopeful for the next decade of my life." In the message, the Boy Meets World alum reflected on her life so far. So often on Boy Meets World it was all about the girl. And that girl was the brainy and civically ahead of her time Topanga Lawrence, played by Danielle Fishel, who scored the role of a Tgif lifetime when she was only 12 years old. That former child star is marking her 40th birthday May 5, and needless to say she's grown up a bit since Ben Savage's Cory Matthews first realized he was crushing hard on his classmate with the exceptional hair. After bringing Topanga back as a successful lawyer, wife and mom to daughter Riley and son Augie in Girl Meets World for a few seasons, Fishel remarried and in 2019 she and husband Jensen Karp welcomed son...

The Los Angeles-based podcaster, whose wife is Boy Meets World actress Danielle Fishel, claimed he found two sugar-coated shrimp tails in his bag of cereal and has been sharing his disturbing experience with fans on Twitter. On Monday, March 22, Jensen posted a pic of what he alleges are pieces of shrimp that he found inside the Cinnamon Toast Crunch he bought at the Woodland Hills Costco in California. In a video on Instagram Monday, Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recounted her harrowing experience during the Capitol riot incited by Donald Trump on Jan. 6. But among the thousands of people watching was actor and comedian Michael Rapaport who, for some reason, took issue with her depiction of events.
So, while Aoc described what she saw and heard during the deadly uprising, Rapport peppered the comments on the video with derisive rhetorical questions and dismissively exasperated reactions.
Among the details shared by Aoc in the new video, which you can watch here, she said she and her staff took shelter in the office of fellow Democrat Katie Porter and remained there for hours. At one point, Aoc said she could hear someone nearby yell repeatedly, “where is she? Where is she?” “This is the moment where I thought everything was over,” she said. “I thought I was going to die.”

With the continuing Coronavirus pandemic placing social restrictions on millions of people around the world, social media has proven to be an invaluable tool in allowing folks to stay connected to each other. This has led to many movie-related debates finding themselves trending online, ranging from trying to figure out which entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be declared the worst, to deciding whether Optimus Prime or Captain America was the more inspirational leader.
The subject of the latest discourse is the filmography of Jim Carrey, with Twitter users going back-and-forth in an attempt to declare which three entries from the rubber-faced funnyman’s back catalogue come out on top. During a promotional tour of his new movie Cold Pursuit, Liam Neeson, Hollywood’s favorite gruff uncle with a particular set of skills, told a story of racist revenge that shocked everyone.
Neeson is definitely known for his revenge movies (see Taken), but things became too real in an interview with The Independent. During the interview, he shared an “awful” story of how he once took to the streets with a mission to murder a man who sexually assaulted one of his friends — and the man was black.
Neeson said that his friend “handled the situation of the rape in the most extraordinary way.” However, his reaction was a bit different. He asked her a bunch of questions including what color the assailant was. When he found out he was black he admitted that he “went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I’d be approached by somebody.

Imagine a music-filled kids’ cartoon about saving the ocean, with characters voiced and sung by Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, and Grammy winner Pharrell Williams. Nearly ten years ago, it almost happened.

How’s this for an unlikely pairing: TBS has ordered a pilot for an unscripted series starring Shaquille O’Neal and Ken Jeong where the duo will take on odd jobs.
Summoned to their temporary employment by unsuspecting people via a digital portal, “Unqualified” (working title) will follow the antics of Shaq and Jeong as they try their hands at jobs that have always intrigued them, along with a few they’d rather avoid. Sometimes Shaq and Jeong will have no clue what they’re walking into. Utilizing their wide range of talent and hustle, the duo will perform tasks such as patrolling malls as rent-a-cops, substitute teaching kindergarten, train conducting and performing as party clowns.
Earlier this year, the two had a well-received performance on TBS’ “Drop the Mic.”

TBS has ordered a pilot for an unscripted series led by Shaquille O’Neal and Ken Jeong.
The new series is currently titled “Unqualified.” It will see O’Neal and Jeong team up to try out a variety of odd jobs like patrolling malls as rent-a-cops, substitute teaching kindergarten, train conducting, and performing as party clowns.
The pilot order comes after the basketball legend and comedian appeared together on the TBS series “Drop the Mic” earlier this year, in which the pair squared off in a rap battle.
“These guys made magic on ‘Drop The Mic’ together. Their chemistry is undeniable.” said Michael Bloom, senior vice president of unscripted and specials for TBS and TNT. “And no doubt that magic will extend to the unwitting people who expect anything to get done when they show up.”

It's official: Danielle Fishel and Jensen Karp are married! Fishel, best known for her role as Topanga Matthews in the beloved TV series Boy Meets World, married Karp Sunday after a seven-month engagement. Jillian McQuerrey photographed the newlyweds, who shared several pictures with fans via social media. Union3 Event Productions' Lisa Gaskarth was hired to help plan the special day, which seemingly went off without a hitch. Laurie Heaps did Fishel's hair, while Julie Cuomo did the bride's makeup. "Today I married my soulmate. We were surrounded by family and friends and it was the best day of my life. I also ate 3 donuts after dinner. Unrelated," Karp wrote in his Instagram caption....

Dr. Phil didn’t want to kill hip-hop. Before he agreed to guest on TBS’ “Drop the Mic,” he told the show’s producers that he hoped to avoid making a joke out of the genre — or himself.
“Dr. Phil, out of everyone we had this season, took it the most serious,” said executive producer Jensen Karp. “He asked for coaches to come in and help him out days before. He also said, ‘I don’t want to do this if I’m going to make a mockery out of hip-hop. Is there any way to can see that I don’t do that?’ In real life, that was endearing to me.”
It turns out he didn’t have to worry. Guest stars are taking the challenge of “Drop the Mic” even more seriously this season, as even Karp and host Method Man told IndieWire’s Turn It On that...

It’s the “Pretty in Pink” sequel that no one saw coming: Andie (Molly Ringwald) and Duckie (Jon Cryer) finally resolve a few things, via sick burns on TBS’ hip-hop battle series “Drop the Mic.” On this Sunday’s episode, Ringwald and Cryer lay it all out: Cryer proclaims, “You’re not Julianne Moore, you’re Julianne less!” But Ringwald hits him back hard: “You’re 5-foot-6, weigh 110, now were you the half man in ‘Two and a Half Men’?”
Watch the full clip below!
Both stars hold their own, but it’s a bit of an unfair fight: Ringwald dated the Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock in the late 1980s, and she clearly picked up some rap skills and pointers while they were together.

In a stunning new interview with the New Yorker magazine‘s Ryan Lizza, new White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci unleashed a full, on-the-record tirade against several members of the Trump administration — and threatened to fire his own staff.
Lizza said that he received a call from Scaramucci –whose hiring was announced the same day that Press Secretary Sean Spicer announced his resignation after just six months – late Wednesday night after he’d tweeted that the new communications director was dining with President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Sean Hannity and former Fox News executive Bill Shine at the White House.

Steph Curry and the shoes he designs for Under Armour cannot catch a break. The NBA star is probably experiencing some serious déja vu today as his sneakers are once again getting ruthlessly mocked on social media. Last summer, the basketball player received an equally frosty reception from the internet after he debuted his Curry 2 Low “Chef” sneakers, which were quickly hailed as the Kirkland Signatures, Mitt Romney Lows, and the Early Bird Discount Buffet 9s. And now, the hazing is happening all over again with the launch of his new Curry 3 Lux sneaker in ‘Oxblood Leather.’

Michael Keaton made a huge mistake during the Golden Globes on Sunday night and people are already voicing their opinions about it on social media. When announcing the nominees for best supporting actress he accidentally referred to Hidden Figures as Hidden Fences, combining the title of the former film and Fences. Sadly, this wasn't the only time this happened during the night. Earlier in the evening on the red carpet, NBC News correspondent Jenna Bush asked Pharrell Williams about his nomination for Hidden Fences, when he's actually nominated for Hidden Figures. Yikes. A new series from Jash has added to YouTube’s deep reserve of videos led by funny children. The comedy network formed in 2013 by a fivesome of comedy notables has launched Baby Talk, which is based off a Meltdown live show of the same name.

The goal of the web series version is to take Baby Talk to as weird a place as it can possible go. The featured children are “our strangest kids from the live show,” says Karp. In the first episode, Neal Brennan,...

Finally, it's Shia Labeouf who is being copied. After his whirlwind descent into whatever it is he's trying to do, Labeouf opened an "art exhibit" in Los Angeles Tuesday (Feb. 11), titled "#Iamsorry." Luckily, Jerry O'Connell is there with a response.
O'Connell, one of the stars of the upcoming "Veronica Mars" movie, opened a pop-up art exhibit next door to Labeouf's. In his exhibit, Labeouf wears a paper bag over his head reading "I am not famous anymore" and he doesn't say a word. O'Connell's is similar, except his bag says "super famous" and he has no problem talking to those who come in and apologizing for everything that is wrong with the world.
