Rhys Howells

Born in Aberdare, Wales, U.K. on the 14th April 1989. His first love was sport and in particular soccer. He played at a very high standard including a spell at Swansea City FC, before being released by the club shortly before his 16th birthday. He continued to play through his university years at Exeter where he was reading Politics.
In conjunction with achieving his Politics BA he appeared in his first armature short film as a favour to his house mate, a film student graduate. A new love affair began and acting quickly took a hold over his life. While studying for his International Business MA he began pursing open auditions for acting. He landed the role of Lucas in Low budget movie Vampiers: Brighter in Darkness (2013). He went on to appear in its sequel Lucas Rising (2014) and also a small role in the behemoth HBO series Game of Thrones. He went on to take up leading roles in independent short films Denham Psycho and The Jeanmaker and 50 Ways to kill your Lover, before landing a role on the long running British soap Hollyoaks.
He has most recently been seen in a groundbreaking retelling of the story of Jesus Christ in VR, the very first project of its kind, and also in the Walliams & Friend (2016) sketch show.
