Recently, Netflix released The Roast Of Tom Brady. While it was aired as a live stream, there have been edits since the original availability for viewers. One of the big edits was a booing session for the great Kim Kardashian. Although it took time away from the crude roast, it was clipped from the current version on the streaming service. Although everyone is aware there is an ongoing feud between Kim and Taylor Swift, some speculate the Swifties had a hand in the ousting. However, one of the feature roasters, Nikki Glaser, has the tea about whether it was a hijack by Swifties.

Nikki Glaser ripped on Ben Affleck for bombing at Netflix’s Tom Brady roast, telling Barstool Sports’ “KFC Radio” podcast that it was abundantly clear the Oscar winner came unprepared to the live taping. Affleck was one of the event’s surprise roasters.
“I haven’t watched it again, like how it looked, because I don’t like to watch people bomb,” Glaser said of Affleck’s roast set. “He didn’t prepare. He’s someone who’s famous enough he probably thinks it’s beneath him to do this. Like, ‘I’m just gonna do a favor, it’s not gonna be that big of a deal.’ And then you do it and you go, ‘Oh! This is way bigger than I thought it was going to be. I’m just kind of phoning it in,'”

After years of resisting any shift into live sports, Netflix has finally punted and will now stream two NFL games on Christmas Day beginning this year.
It’s a major coup for Netflix, even if the games are on a Wednesday — so get ready for Tbd announcers to read a lot of “Wednesday” promos. Netflix will also get at least one game around the holidays for both 2025 and 2026. There’s no way around it now: Netflix has live sports.
Netflix would never put it this way, but the money the streamer is spending on these games is something it would’ve previously spent elsewhere, perhaps on say…a movie?
Spencer Wang, Netflix’s VP of finance, investor relations, and corporate development, said at the Moffett Nathanson conference this morning that Netflix is spending on the NFL package about what it costs the streamer to make a mid-budget movie. Wang added...

Tom Brady’s first roast will likely be his last.
During an appearance on “The Pivot Podcast,” the retired quarterback revealed that some of the jokes made during his recent Netflix roast poorly affected his children and that he wouldn’t sign up to do it again. While he didn’t specify the jokes in question, many of the comedians who took the stage targeted his high-profile marriage and divorce to Gisele Bündchen, with whom he has two kids. (Brady also has a third child with Bridget Moynahan.)

Tom Brady survived through his scorching Netflix roast, heralded as a major win for comedy.
The NFL legend was a good sport throughout the event, while comedians, including Nikki Glaser, Jeff Ross, and Tony Hinchcliffe, took a flamethrower to his personal life and career through the brilliance of comedic insults.
Some moments hit harder than any sack Brady likely experienced on the football field, and one instance featured Brady seemingly scolding a comedian about a joke that may have crossed the line.
And while the seven-time Super Bowl champion seemed to roll with the punches and even deliver a few of his own, he recently explained why he regretted his decision.
Speaking on his experience with the roast, Brady indicated he “loved” many of the jokes focused on him.
Despite the fun and laughs entertaining a massive live audience and many Netflix viewers, the retired NFL star revealed why he wouldn’t endure it again.

Tom Brady appeared on “The Pivot Podcast” and admitted that some of the jokes made during his Netflix roast affected his children and he would not sign up to be roasted again as a result. The NFL icon has three children, one son with Bridget Moynahan and a son and a daughter with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. While Brady did not specify which jokes upset his children during the Netflix roast, many of the comedians present took aim at his marriage and divorce to Bündchen.
“I liked when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way they affected my kids,” Brady admitted on the podcast. “It’s the hardest part about…like the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of...

“Let’s Fucking Go.”
Tom Brady’s notorious catchphrase (“Lfg” is the PG version) was how Fox chose to end its upfront presentation Monday evening, with Brady on stage joined by his Fox NFL colleague Michael Strahan, and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay (also known for using the F word), shouting it to the rafters.
Brady, who retired officially last year, confirmed that he will indeed join the Fox NFL broadcast booth this fall, working as an analyst alongside play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt and reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi.
Brady was the closing event for the upfront, appearing a week after his Netflix roast made global headlines (fellow roaster and Fox personality Rob Gronkowski was also in attendance).
Brady, speaking to Strahan on stage, said the decision to follow through on his deal two years ago to join Fox after he retired was a “no brainer.”

Lego Masters host Will Arnett kicked off the 2024 Fox Upfront by introducing most of the celebrity players for the new season, including Jon Hamm, Olivia Culpo, Tom Brady and of course Rob Lowe, who he introduced as coming straight from St. Elmo’s Fire.
What else happened at the presentation in the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City? Read on.
Michael Strahan and Gordon Ramsay kicked off the show in the theater-in-the-sound setting, and it took all of 20 seconds before Ramsay dropped his first f-bomb. The duo riffed about their pairing as hosts and Ramsay cussed some more before they brought out Jeff Collins, President of Advertising Sales, Marketing and Brand Partnerships. “The Fox portfolio is designed to drive maximum impact for your brand,” he said in a statement that absolutely no one has ever heard before at a NY upfront.

Kim Kardashian was met with resounding boos at Netflix’s roast of Tom Brady — but you’d never know it unless you watched it live.
The streamer has edited out the portion of the roast where Kardashian was booed, TVLine has confirmed. (The Hollywood Reporter first noted the change.) In Sunday’s original live broadcast, Kardashian was booed loudly as she took the stage at the roast, stopping midway through her first joke to glare at the crowd as several of her fellow roasters came to her defense. But in the version currently streaming on Netflix, the booing is nowhere to be found.

17,000 fans. The reunion of an American football dynasty and the coach no one expected to show. Televised live around the world while the reputation of a man considered “the greatest of all time” sits in the hands of savage comedians and one-time foes. What could go wrong?
But here we are, just days after Tom Brady took to the stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles for Sunday’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time,” and the walls are still standing. For decades roast comedy has been a beloved national tradition, once shepherded on TV by Comedy Central. It was a show that often targeted Hollywood legends or zeitgeist icons. It took the willingness of Brady, who holds a record 7 Super Bowl rings, to reinvigorate the format for streaming under host Kevin Hart. And not just any roast, which would typically be shot on a Hollywood backlot and edited ahead of its premiere.

The televised roast is one of the most unique and controversial forms of comedy the American entertainment industry has helped popularize. For decades now, public figures from all walks of life have willingly sat in front of an audience of their peers and the general public and allowed seasoned comics to mercilessly mock various aspects of their lives and careers.
The latest public figure to join this tradition is football legend Tom Brady. The star NFL athlete was the subject of a roast by a set of comics led by Kevin Hart and Jeff Ross. Unfortunately, aspects of the roast are said to have disappointed Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. The popular supermodel is said to feel that the way the roast played out once again proved that Brady cares more about his career than their time together.

The event also featured surprise guests including Ben Affleck, Will Farrell, and Kim Kardashian. Nikki Glaser, one of the standouts from Netflix’s Tom Brady roast, has revealed that she didn’t get to deliver every joke she had planned during the live comedy event.
During an interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show following the roast, the comedian and actress, who earned widespread praise for her set, shared some of the punchlines the audience missed on Sunday night.
“Tom, I love your work — you’ve done on your face,” read one of Glaser’s jokes about the football star’s alleged plastic surgery that she cut. “Seriously, slow down. What is happening with your cheeks? You look like a Ken doll that was microwaved. You love deflating things, stop.”
The FGirl Island star said she also cut a joke about Cte (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), a progressive degenerative disease affecting many NFL players who have suffered repeated concussions and traumatic brain injuries.

The Roast of Tom Brady got people talking about some of the jokes and jabs that may have crossed the line.
Brady’s event featured an array of roasters, including comedians, friends like Kim Kardashian and Ben Affleck, and former teammates such as Rob Gronkowski.
His former coach, Bill Belichick, also got on stage to roast Brady with some clever lines.
It was a star-studded event that filled Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California, and Patriots owner Robert Kraft even attended to support his friend and former star player.
At one point during the event, a comedian’s joke may have gone too far, though.
Comedian and FBoy Island host Nikki Glazer was among the roasters and shared her thoughts on that particular joke involving Brady and Kraft.

If there’s any truth to the old adage that history happens first as tragedy and then as farce, it was fitting that years of media sniping and public relitigation of the New England Patriots’ six Super Bowl wins culminated in Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and Robert Kraft doing shots together at a Netflix comedy festival.

It was a long night for Tom Brady at his live Netflix comedy roast, as it was for the rest of us watching from home.
Starting with a bloody Oj Simpson jersey and ending with Brady smashing an iPhone on stage, the Netflix live event, “The Greatest Roast of All-Time: Tom Brady,” honored the seven-time Super Bowl champion. The modern-day legend faced his biggest challenge yet: being roasted by comedians and his former NFL teammates.
At times hilarious and at others a bit cringe-worthy, the unedited live event was a lengthy affair that made one truly appreciate the editors of the Comedy Central roasts. Their task was to condense the content into a concise, entertaining 60-minute presentation. Tom Brady took the jokes in stride at his roast — well, most of them.
Amid jabs about Gisele Bündchen, deflategate and his good looks Sunday night, Brady bristled at one in particular, aimed at the Patriots’ 82-year-old owner, Robert Kraft.
During his turn onstage, Jeff Ross quipped: “So Tom became a Patriot and moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft‘s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made. Would you like a massage?’”
Brady then approached Ross, who’d blown a kiss Kraft’s way, and said in his ear: “Don’t say that shit again.” Ross replied, “Ok, Ok. He’s having fun, look at him. I love what you do for the Jews, Robert Kraft. You’re incredible.”

Tom Brady agreed to be roasted in Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time, but one particular joke seemingly went too far for the future NFL Hall of Famer.
One of the early moments from the comedy special that went viral was when the seven-time Super Bowl champion got off of his seat to whisper something to Jeff Ross.
As the “Roastmaster General,” Ross came on stage to roast Brady, and one particular joke seemingly ticked off the former football player.
Ross was talking about how Brady was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the NFL draft and became the 199th overall pick.

United Talent Agency is making changes to the leadership of its news and broadcasting department, the unit that negotiates on behalf of journalists and news personalities.
According to a memo sent to staff Tuesday by UTA vice-chairman Jay Sures and COO and co-head of UTA Sports Andrew Thau, the agency is elevating Ryan Hayden and Marc Paskin to be co-heads of its news and broadcasting department.
Peter Goldberg, who had led the department since 2017, will stay with the company as a partner and senior agent. Goldberg joined UTA in its acquisition of N.S. Bienstock, the agency that helped create the market for news and journalism talent under the leadership of the late Richard Leibner.

Travis Kelce is following in the footsteps of Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan by hosting a game show that features celebrities.
With that recent news, Strahan seems ready to assist Kelce in preparing him to host the new game show.
Kelce is reportedly adding that to his accomplishments, which include winning several Super Bowl rings with the Kansas City Chiefs, appearing on Saturday Night Live, and dating Taylor Swift.
After spending his career with just one team, the New York Giants, Strahan moved into various business ventures and television projects.
Those TV gigs include his work as an analyst on Fox NFL Sunday, co-anchor on ABC’s Good Morning America, and host of ABC’s rebooted The $100,000 Pyramid.
With that experience in hosting, he might be able to provide valuable insight to Kelce for his upcoming gig.

It's been less than two weeks since the untimely death of beloved actor and director Carl Weathers. The beloved star of movies like "Rocky," "Predator," and "Happy Gilmore," Weathers died of natural causes on February 1, 2024. It was too soon for the generations of viewers who've grown up watching him on the big and small screen, but at least he did have enough time to film a Super Bowl ad for FanDuel, a sports gambling app.
The original ad follows former NFL player Rob Gronkowski in the desert, who finds himself rescued by a sly Carl Weathers riding in on a motorcycle. It would've been a straightforwardly fun advertisement a few weeks ago, but now it's been complicated a bit by Weather's untimely departure. It's the sort of thing that could be seen as a little ghoulish if handled poorly, which might be why the follow-up advertisement features an explicit tribute to the man.

Carl Weathers was featured in a Super Bowl spot for FanDuel, and after his death, the company edited the commercial to honor the late actor.
The gambling company had teased the spot earlier this year and, in the wake of Weathers’ death, added a tribute to the actor. After the spot, Rob Gronkowski fades in and turns back to look at Weathers who nods back at him.
“Thank you, Carl,” is featured on-screen.

One of the biggest moments for advertisers interested in the Super Bowl isn’t actually in the Super Bowl itself.
FanDuel and YouTube are trying to make a big splash in the moments just before the Big Game, hoping that commercials in the last break before kick-off will help them make a marketing point before consumers get deluged with 30-second spots — along with celebrity cameos and pop-song surprises – once the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers start their struggling in earnest.
The price of a commercial in that pre-kick break has soared to as much as $4 million, according to two people familiar with the matter. To be sure, that’s less than the $6.5 million to $7 million CBS has sought for equivalent time in the game, but nothing to be taken lightly.
The pre-kick has plenty of appeal. “It doesn’t matter how the game does. This is the moment when everyone is tuning in,...

When Good Morning America arrived on Thursday, anchor Michael Strahan was missing from the desk.
His latest absence came days after Strahan shut down a co-anchor following fiery remarks over a GMA story. It also arrived just as his daughter shared a video of her ongoing recovery from a health scare.
DeMarco Morgan, one of several ABC anchors who have covered for Strahan during absences, was filling in on Thursday’s GMA for the former NFL star.
Strahan’s colleagues, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopolous, were alongside Morgan for the GMA episode.
Stephanopolous welcomed viewers and began introducing a preview of the show’s upcoming stories.
“Just three days until the big game in Las Vegas,” Roberts said once the crew appeared on camera again.

Actor Carl Weathers has one last role to play.
The popular thespian, who made a name for himself in the “Rocky” movies and the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian,” among other projects, has long been associated with online sports-betting company FanDuel’s Super Bowl work. Weathers had appeared in teasers for FanDuel’s Super Bowl commercial, which will focus, as it did last year, on a live real-time look at former NFL great Rob Gronkowski’s attempts to kick a field goal. In 2024, that kick will take place just before game play starts, with a follow-up commercial to appear in the Big Game itself.
Weathers died Thursday in his sleep, and FanDuel had subsequently indicated that it planned to make adjustments to its commercial. Weathers had been acting as a coach in teasers for the project.
The actor will still appear, according to Andrew Sneyd, FanDuel’s executive vice president of marketing.

Michael Strahan seemed to want no part of any more discussion of a heated topic with his Good Morning America co-anchor!
During a recent episode of the program, Strahan appeared at the desk with co-anchors George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts.
The trio was joined for a segment by Will Reeve, who presented a story about the ongoing coverage of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship.
With Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs playing in this year’s Super Bowl, the topic will receive more attention, discussion, and criticism.
Following the segment, Roberts got riled up when discussing how some critics get upset about the relationship coverage.
“It is amazing that some people are just so up in arms. Who cares? It’s great,” Roberts told her colleagues.

Michael Strahan isn’t averse to throwing a jab at a colleague, especially on the set of one of his favorite shows.
The 52-year-old appears regularly on Good Morning America, where he’s had playful banter with Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and others.

On the NFL program, his friends and co-analysts include Curt Menefee, Jimmy Johnson, Terry Bradshaw, and Howie Long.

It’s that time of year again, and we’re not talking about Christmas. It’s college football bowl season, featuring more mediocre teams, silly sponsor names and unappealing locales than ever before! Action kicks off Saturday, December 16, with seven games, highlighted by the Starco Brands LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk. On New Year’s Day, the College Football Playoff semifinal games have the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl and the No. 3 Texas Longhorns vs. the No. 2 Washington Huskies in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. A report commissioned by Rover, the pet-sitting website, showed that “Kelce” is the top-trending dog name in America, with a current increase of 135%.
They believed that the Kelce brothers, Travis and Jason, were the likely inspiration for this increase.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end won his second Super Bowl back in February. He also experienced a massive increase in his social media following after Taylor Swift attended his team’s third-week game against the Chicago Bears.
He played against his brother in the Super Bowl and released a documentary about his career this September.
This two-time Super Bowl winner even managed to be a finalist for People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” list.
His brother, on the other hand, was the top choice for this magazine’s “Sexiest Men in Sports” list.
Even the two NBA stars, Nikola Jokic and Trae Young, were also listed among the top-trending dog names,...

Kai Cenat is furthering his big-screen dreams with a role in a nostalgic sequel. The streaming star will make an appearance in Good Burger 2, an upcoming film led by Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
The original Good Burger film, released in 1997, evolved out of a bit from Nickelodeon’s prime-time sketch show All That. Thompson and Mitchell were two of All That‘s breakout stars, and they created an iconic setting by depicting their adventures at a run-down burger joint. Good Burger‘s (widely-panned) trip to the big screen featured cameos from 90s icons like Sinbad and Shaquille O’Neal.
Though the Good Burger movie drew negative reviews from critics, it endured as a cultural touchstone of the Millennial generation. More than 25 years after its theatrical release, Good Burger is getting a sequel. Good Burger 2 will arrive on the Paramount Plus streaming service on November 22.
