Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) said that the FBI is investigating a possible hacking of his phone by someone impersonating Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
“My phone is in the hands of the FBI now,” Graham said. “I got a message, I think, from Schumer, but it wasn’t from Schumer. The next thing you know, my phone’s… I don’t know what. Anything you can create, apparently, can be hacked.”
The Senate Sergeant At Arms, who manages cybersecurity for the chamber, delivered an advisory warning to Senate offices regarding the phishing scheme effort.
“The Sergeant At Arms is investigating a possible hack of Sen. Graham’s phone,” Taylor Reidy, a spokesperson for the South Carolina senator, stated.
Schumer is famous for using a flip phone and preferring calling over texting. Similar hacking attempts were reported on other Senate staff last week.

Saturday Night Live host and musical guest Dua Lipa, whose brand new album, Radical Optimism, was released Friday, was at a loss for how South Dakota’s Republican governor, Kristi Noem, could salvage her reputation as a puppy and goat killer.
In her monologue, Lipa explained that the title of her latest work means “looking on the bright side of any situation.”
She then took took questions from SNL cast members in the audience, beginning with Andrew Dismukes, who revealed, “My wife left me because during sex, I accidentally called her ‘mom.

Kristi Noem has repeatedly affirmed that yes, she actually did murder her 14-month-old dog — but that doesn’t mean the South Dakota governor’s upcoming memoir, No Going Back, isn’t full of easily disprovable lies.
According to The Dakota Scout, which obtained a copy of the book, Noem claims that as a member of Congress, she met with elusive North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
“Through my tenure on the House Armed Services Committee I had the chance to travel to many countries to meet with world leaders,” Noem wrote.

Jim Hoft, the founder of the right-wing media site The Gateway Pundit, announced that this company filed for bankruptcy after it faced many lawsuits about false claims it made about the 2020 election.
The Gateway Pundit has been facing litigation by election workers and other people who endured harassment after the site made inaccurate claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.
Some of these lawsuits were made by people who claim to have received numerous threats after being vilified in fake stories.
One lawsuit is being brought by mother-and-daughter Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss. Last year, the pair won a $148 million defamation verdict against the former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
According to the company, the litigation forced it to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Florida.
Their petition estimated it had assets between $500,000 and $1 million.

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley received over 156,000 votes in the Pennsylvania GOP primary election despite dropping out of the race in March, suggesting a significant protest vote among Republicans.
Haley won 16.5% of Pennsylvania’s primary vote on April 23.
She secured twice the number of votes by which Joe Biden beat Donald Trump in 2020.
Both parties are focusing on Pennsylvania since its 19 electoral votes make it a critical battleground state.
Tens of thousands of Republicans refused to vote for Trump even though he is the likely GOP nominee.
He won the primary race in the critical swing state with 83.5% of the vote, amounting to more than 786,000 votes.
Biden gained 90% of the Democratic vote in this primary election.

Poppy Harlow is exiting CNN after a morning show failure and sixteen years with the network. She had experienced a shakeup in 2022 and things just continued to go downhill. Now, she has made the decision to leave. Keep reading for all of the details.
Poppy Harlow Exiting CNN After Morning Show Failure
After sixteen years with CNN, Poppy Harlow is leaving and a lot has to do with a big shakeup that occurred in 2022. She had spent over five years co-hosting CNN Newsroom with Jim Sciutto and they made a great duo. Then, she was moved to an early morning slot alongside Don Lemon and Kaitlan Collins for CNN This Morning. Lemon had come from anchoring his own primetime show whereas Collins was a correspondent. Unfortunately, the match did not light and Lemon was starting to get into trouble. He then made an inappropriate comment about former presidential candidate, Nikki Haley.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) signed a bill allowing state authorities to arrest any migrants who entered the United States illegally. Immigration is typically a federal not a state, issue.
“The Biden administration has failed to enforce our nation’s immigration laws, putting the protection and safety of Iowans at risk,” Reynolds said in a statement, during which she had announced the signing of the legislation, which goes into full effect this July.
“Those who come into our country illegally have broken the law, yet [Biden] refuses to deport them,” she added. “This bill gives Iowa law enforcement the power to do what he is unwilling to do: enforce immigration laws already on the books.”
The Iowa governor is one of many Republican governors who have fiercely criticized Biden’s immigration policies.
She deployed the Iowa National Guard to back Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s anti-migrant measures and made several trips to the U.

Former presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s husband, Michael, returned home after serving in the National Guard for a year.
Haley posted family pictures on X, saying, “That moment when you finally take a breath… It’s been a long year but even longer without each other.”
Thankful for Michael’s safe return and the end of a year-long prayer.”
The pair have been married for almost 30 years and have two children, Rena and Nalin.
Haley’s husband has also been deployed to Afghanistan and with the National Guard since 2006, holding the rank of major.
Recently, Donald Trump antagonized the Haley family, saying at a rally: “What happened to [Nikki Haley’s] husband? Where is he? He’s gone. He knew. He knew.”
Haley clapped back at Trump, “Michael is deployed serving our country, something you know nothing about.”

After repeatedly saying Donald Trump is unfit to be president, New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) was confronted by ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos about his new support for the former president.
Interviewed on ABC’s This Week, Sununu was questioned for his support of Trump. Sununu previously backed former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley and criticized Trump for contributing to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection. In January, Sununu claimed Trump has “no energy” and can “barely read a teleprompter.”
Trump criticized Sununu far before the New Hampshire governor backed his then-presidential campaign opponent. Now, Sununu says he believes Trump should not drop out of the election race even if he is convicted in his classified documents case.

Former President Donald Trump’s new joint fundraising agreement with the Republican National Committee (RNC) allows donations to the party to be funneled to his campaign and Pac to cover his legal expenses.
Under the arrangement, Republican donors will see a portion of their money go toward helping Trump pay off his staggering legal bills before they are used for the national and state parties during the election season.
The details of the joint fundraising agreement were mentioned in the fine print of an April 6 fundraiser invite.
This invitation mentions that donations to the joint fundraising committee, the Trump 47 Committee, will initially be used to give the maximum amount allowed under Federal Election Commission (Fec) guidelines to the Trump campaign.
The remaining money will go toward the maximum donation to the Save America Pac, and any money left will be granted to the RNC and state political parties.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is using robotic calls to spread inaccurate information about the 2020 election with scripted calls to voters’ phones on behalf of the new co-chair, Lara Trump, Donald Trump‘s daughter-in-law.
Despite calls from prominent Republicans to focus on the future and win in 2024, the RNC, under Lara’s leadership, continues to propagate baseless claims about massive fraud in the last election.
As a commentator and surrogate for the former president, Lara has consistently supported Trump’s unfounded allegations. The recent call obtained by CNN, estimated to have reached approximately 145,000 recipients between April 1 and 7, echoed Lara’s previous statements.
The scripted call alleged various forms of election fraud, such as the absence of photo IDs, unsecured ballot drop boxes, mass mailing of ballots and voter rolls that contained deceased individuals and non-citizens. It even suggested that Democrats aim to cancel out legitimate votes with those cast by non-citizens.

Just minutes before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was set to get underway in April 2023, New York Post Editor-in-Chief Keith Poole and star columnist Miranda Devine were on a mission to find an extra seat. Inside the Washington Hilton hotel, the pair had a very special guest that they needed to accommodate and their table was oversubscribed. After some musical chairs among staffers, Vivek Ramaswamy spent much of the evening talking with Poole, a Brit feted as a “boy wonder” in Murdoch circles.
Poole, who like all Murdoch editors has a direct line to “the boss,” had already created waves in his handling of Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential announcement. “Been There, Don That” was the headline that was tucked away on page 26 of the Nov. 22, 2022 edition of the Post. But it was the teaser at the bottom of the front page that went viral. “Florida man makes announcement.”
Soon, Poole would be in a pickle.

Trump’s fixation on mental fitness can be traced back to his observations of his father’s deteriorating dementia, a formative period that has had a significant, yet rarely mentioned, impact on his life as it has instilled in him an ever-present fear that he might suffer the same in the future.
In the mid-1990s, Donald Trump invited his extended family to Mar-a-Lago, his Florida estate. Amidst the lavish gathering, Trump’s father, Fred Trump Sr., was visibly struggling, according to Trump’s niece Mary L. Trump.
At the event, Fred, then in his late 80s, failed to recognize two of his children and approached Trump with a picture of a Cadillac and asked his son’s permission to make the purchase. Mary’s recollection sheds light on Fred Trump Sr.’s battle with dementia, a condition diagnosed several years prior.

Last week, allies of former President Donald Trump officially took over the Republican National Committee (RNC).
Short thereafter, a resolution to ban Trump’s spiraling legal bills was abandoned as a lost cause.
Mississippi’s national committeeman Henry Barbour, son of former RNC Chairman Haley Barbour, confirmed that the resolution that he had drafted is “dead.”

Donald Trump passed the 1,215 delegates needed to secure the Republican nomination after he was projected to win the Washington state primary.
While the milestone was covered across cable news tonight, the Biden vs. Trump rematch has been clear for some time — given the polls and their victories in early primaries.
Biden faced nominal opposition from Marianne Williamson and Rep. Dean Phillips (D-mn), who have not managed to perform in the double digits in the primary contests so far. After Super Tuesday, Phillips dropped out and endorsed Biden.
Trump trounced his last remaining rival, Nikki Haley, in Super Tuesday contests last week; she...

Ramy Youssef will host the next “Saturday Night Live” episode, airing on March 30, with Travis Scott as the musical guest. This announcement was made during the March 9 “SNL” episode, which was hosted by Josh Brolin with Ariana Grande as the musical guest.
Youssef’s upcoming HBO comedy special, “Ramy Youssef: More Feelings,” debuts on March 23.
This season has included a slew of hosts — some controversial. While the March 2 episode saw Sydney Sweeney in her hosting debut and musical guest Kacey Musgraves, the women followed Shane Gillis — the comedian who was fired from “SNL” in 2019 due to racist, homophobic, Islamophobic and misogynistic jokes he made on his podcast and other media.
After these comments resurfaced on social media, a spokesperson on behalf of executive producer Lorne Michaels said at the time, “We want ‘SNL’ to have a variety of voices and points of view within the show, and we hired Shane...

Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, riding high on his Super Tuesday blowout with his only contender Nikki Haley dropping out of the race, took to a podium in Rome, Georgia on Saturday for a “Get out the Vote Rally” as his Democratic opponent, President Joe Biden, also appeared in the battleground state in dueling campaign visits following Biden’s rousing State of the Union address.

No Labels is moving forward with its plan to offer a third-party ticket in the 2024 election, despite its failure to attract top-tier candidates and struggles to make good on its state-level ballot access goals.
On Friday, the dark-money group’s unnamed delegates voted to proceed with a so-called “unity” ticket — even as a No Labels official acknowledged they have not managed to find a candidate yet and may not be able to, according to Politico.

Nikki Haley dropped out of the presidential race after Super Tuesday, despite having scored her first primary victory in Vermont, with its nine delegates. After conceding the race to now-presumptive nominee Donald Trump, Haley is now on the clock when it comes to whether or not she will endorse Trump, whom she has called “toxic and lacking “moral clarity.”

Donald Trump is only a few hundred delegates away from securing the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, and after a dominating performance on Super Tuesday and the withdrawal of his last GOP opponent, Nikki Haley, Trump really, really, wants to debate President Joe Biden — or so he claims.

On Tuesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) engaged in a heated verbal altercation with British journalist Emily Maitlis. The confrontation took place at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where Greene was present as a prominent right-wing congressional ally of former President Donald Trump.
Maitlis, who is currently affiliated with The News Agents podcast but gaining recognition for her 2019 BBC interview with Prince Andrew, initially questioned Greene about her message for Republican candidate Nikki Haley following a successful Super Tuesday for Trump.
Maitlis also inquired whether Greene aspired to become Trump’s running mate in the upcoming November election. However, the conversation took a turn when Maitlis broached the topic of conspiracy theories.
Maitlis posed the question, “Can you tell me why so many people who support Donald Trump love conspiracy theories, including yourself?”

This cycle’s Super Tuesday lacked suspense — and that showed in the viewership numbers.
About 11.4 million viewers tuned into coverage during the peak hour of 10 p.m. Et, when the three major broadcast networks joined with the three major cable networks with live coverage, according to early numbers from Nielsen. That’s far less than the nearly 19 million who tuned in across those networks during the last cycle, in 2020.
But Super Tuesday 2020 featured the surprise showing of Joe Biden against Bernie Sanders, in a race that was still undoubtedly competitive. By contrast, there were few surprises in this year’s results, as Donald Trump and Biden dominated their respective contests. Nikki Haley, Trump’s last remaining rival for the nomination, dropped out earlier today, as did Dean Phillips, who had challenged Biden.

During a rally in North Carolina on Saturday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump appeared to slur some and mispronounce words.
While talking about Venezuela, the former president seemed to refer to the country as “Venezuera.” Later on, he voted to “expel the wall-mongers” instead of the war-mongers, leaving X users to joke that he was promising to get rid of himself.
Trump also continued to cut off his sentences and repeat himself when his syllables were mispronounced.
Trump and President Joe Biden’s age and mental competency have recently come into question, as they are likely to face each other in the 2024 presidential election.
Trump has been known to attack Biden for his verbal flubs, though the president has started to fight back.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky) said that he was backing Donald Trump’s presidential bid, even though he had blamed and blasted the former president for his “disgraceful” role in the January 6th attacks on the Capitol.
Trump also has used racist remarks against McConnell’s wife, former Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao. Trump has called her “coco chow.”
In a statement, McConnell said, per the AP, “It is abundantly clear that former President Trump has earned the requisite support of Republican voters to be our nominee for President of the United States. It should come as no surprise that as nominee, he will have my support.”

Nikki Haley said that it is up to Donald Trump to “earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support” his presidential bid.
In brief remarks in which she announced that she is suspending her presidential bid, Haley said that “at its best, politics is about bringing people into your cause, not turning them away, and our conservative cause badly needs more people.”
“This is now his time for choosing,” she said.
Trump has previously berated Haley for staying in the race, with his campaign calling her “birdbrain” and the former president mocking her husband, Michael, for being absent on the campaign trail. He’s been serving in the military on a deployment in Africa.
Trump also has threatened Haley’s supporters, writing in January that “Anybody that makes a ‘Contribution’ to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the Maga camp.

Nikki Haley plans to suspend her campaign and drop out of the presidential race following her Super Tuesday defeats to former President Donald Trump, according to reports.
Haley is due to make an address at 10 a.m. Et, according to the Associated Press and other news outlets. She was not expected to endorse Trump during the speech, the AP reported.
The move was widely expected after Haley was projected to lose all Super Tuesday contests bar Vermont. She also won a contest in the District of Columbia over the weekend.
Trump will now face off later this year with President Joe Biden, as has been expected throughout most of the race. Trump has been miles ahead of the rest of the pack, although at times Haley had narrowed his margin. She has impressed on a campaign trail that initially expected Ron DeSantis to be Trump’s closest challenger.

Pro-Trump Republican representative Marjorie Taylor Greene had some choice words for British journalist Emily Maitlis yesterday when questioned over her support for certain fringe conspiracy theories.
Maitlis was in the U.S. reporting for her daily podcast The News Agents and queried Greene over her promotion of a conspiracy that “state-of-the-art Jewish space lasers” were being used to shoot down Santa Claus. “If you want to win the war on Christmas, first you take out the person who makes Christmas possible,” Greene is reported to have said in 2021.

Updated, with latest results: Donald Trump and Joe Biden dominated a majority of Super Tuesday contests this evening, making it all the more certain that the November election will be a rematch.
Biden and Trump were projected to be the winners, by a wide margin, of party primaries in California, Colorado, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Maine, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Alabama, Utah and Tennessee. Biden also was projected to win Vermont, and Trump won a caucus in Alaska.
The lingering question was whether Nikki Haley would continue her bid for the Republican nomination as Trump’s last remaining rival. She was projected to win Vermont, denying Trump a sweep of all Super Tuesday contests. Referring to Trump’s speech earlier in the evening, her campaign said in a statement, “Unity is not achieved by simply claiming, ‘we’re united.'”

Entrepreneur Mark Cuban says that he’ll vote for Joe Biden over Donald Trump, going so far as to say that he’d back the current president vs. his likely challenger even if “he was being given last rites.”
Cuban’s comments quickly took off on social media, and he added further clarity on Tuesday, when he told Axios that he found Trump to be “a snake oil salesperson.”
“One will tell you his snake oil will cure everything that ails you. The other will show you the details of his policies through charts, graphs and statements,” Cuban told Axios.
Via email, Cuban told Deadline that even though he supports Biden over Trump, that doesn’t mean he’ll take part in fundraisers or make campaign donations. “Never have,” he wrote.
Cuban, the former majority owner of the Dallas Mavericks, plans to leave ABC’s Shark Tank following its 16th season.

Nikki Haley is very much a long shot to win the Republican nomination, but at least her bid against Donald Trump will include a primary victory.
Haley won the Washington, D.C. primary this evening with about 62% of the vote, compared to about 33% for Trump. In the heavily Democratic city, the Republican primary drew just over 2,000 votes. Haley ended up winning all 19 delegates.
The former Un ambassador is seeking more wins on Tuesday, when 15 primaries and caucuses are being held. But Trump is expected to come away with a lopsided share of the delegates, putting him on a path to secure the nomination later in the month. Trump has 244 delegates, Haley has 43, and 1,215 are needed to clinch the nomination.

In an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News Channel, Donald Trump once again highlighted his supposed success on a cognitive test and emphasized the difficulty of the questions. Trump’s remarks were accompanied by a post on his Truth Social platform which boasted about his test performance and called for mandatory testing.
With typical cognitive tests, Trump explained to Hannity, “They’re not that easy, you know. They, they show you the first ones are pretty easy. “You did sign a pledge, an RNC pledge to support the eventual nominee. Do you still feel bound by that pledge?” Kristen Welker asked Haley.

“It’s not as simple anymore as sending the president out to stand behind the podium, letting the news media cover it and calling it a day,” former White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield says on today’s Deadline ElectionLine podcast about the reality of the 21st century press paradigm that even the most powerful person in the world battles. “That worked in 1992, that doesn’t work in 2024,” she adds.

Former President Donald Trump told a cheering crowd at one of his rallies that controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) is “very smart” and “very respected in Congress,” raising eyebrows on both sides of the political spectrum.
At his rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Trump took the stage to deliver his remarks on the eve of the South Carolina Republican primary, where he secured a significant victory against Gov. Nikki Haley (R-South Carolina), the state’s former two-term governor.
Despite calls for her withdrawal from the race, Haley has remained steadfast in her campaign.
Greene, on the other hand, has been vocal about her desire to “eradicate” Haley from the Republican Party due to her decision to continue running after the New Hampshire primary held last month.
After he acknowledged his endorsement by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina), who had previously opposed him, Trump directed his attention to Greene.

Donald Trump‘s cognitive function has been questioned after a recent track record of mix-ups raised concerns.
In the past, Trump has repeatedly confused fellow Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley for Nancy Pelosi and President Joe Biden for former president Barack Obama.
Biden’s cognitive abilities have also raised concerns over his leadership of the United States. Paul Quirk, a political science professor at the University of British Columbia in Canada, said Trump’s cognitive failure is “more apparent.”
“From the standpoint of the campaign, Biden’s age should be less of an issue than Trump’s more apparent cognitive decline—displayed in slurred speech and gross, repeated errors in one campaign rally after another,” Quirk told Newsweek.
Despite Trump’s issues being more apparent, Quirk says Biden should still be a concern. The president may refuse to relinquish power if deemed incompetent to remain in office.
