Spoiler Alert: This interview contains light spoilers for stunt sequences from “The Fall Guy,” in theaters now.
Leaping from a high-flying helicopter, being engulfed in flames, and rolling a car over eight and a half times—while these heart-stopping moments may be the stuff of nightmares for most, they’re just another day on the job for the daredevil stunt performers at the heart of David Leitch’s “The Fall Guy.”
Ryan Gosling’s Colt Seavers is repeatedly put through the wringer in Universal’s action comedy based on the 1980s TV series of the same name. Lucky for the Oscar-nominated actor, a team of pros was there to do the heavy lifting.
Logan Holladay, who performed driving stunts (and set a Guinness world record), Ben Jenkin, who willingly got lit on fire and hit by a car, and Troy Brown, who plummeted 150 feet for an epic fall, sat down...

Ryan Gosling just proved that he’s got the skills of a stuntman. Despite his fear of heights, he managed to pull off one of the most dangerous stunts in The Fall Guy. With this, his family got a little bit concerned about the actor’s safety.

Gosling shared that his wife, Eva Mendes, and his kids asked him one thing not to do on the set of The Fall Guy. It’s extremely difficult, though, because the nature of the movie would entail the Canadian star to perform death-defying choreographies.

Movies these days are more of a production than a simple story led by a cast. If there is no pomp and circus around it, chances are, it won’t do much business. Even with some really popular names attached to projects, sometimes that is not enough. And Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt starrer The Fall Guy is a prime example of that.

Sometimes, even if a movie has good reviews and high critic scores, people tend to wait for it to get to streaming services to watch it, rather than buying tickets for the theaters. And this is the biggest issue with today’s industry. Most movies go to streaming, even if it is a year later, and people are willing to wait for them. Unless the production around a movie is so hyped that watching it in theaters on...

Ryan Gosling is "not too fond" of heights despite starring in 'The Fall Guy'.The 43-year-old actor stars opposite 'Oppenheimer' actress Emily Blunt in the new comedy as seasoned movie stuntman Colt Seavers but in real life, he is actually scared of being up a height and still braved a 150-foot drop for the opening scene of the film,.Ryan's stunt double Ben Jenkin told Movie Web: "He [Gosling] was so game to do lots of things. The first time I met him, I said to him, 'Is there anything that makes you uncomfortable, or you don't want to do?' And he's like, 'Well, I'm not too fond of heights.' And the opening scene of the movie is dropping him 150 feet. And he did it! "And he was so game to do it, get his hands dirty and do the stunts."But Ben also added that there was a place for him on set,...

This post contains minor spoilers for "The Fall Guy."
David Leitch has lovingly crafted "The Fall Guy" as a homage to the stunt community, with a seasoned yet luckless stuntman named Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling) at the center of the film's gravity-defying shenanigans. Colt's talents are quite literally overshadowed by the actor he doubles — glib superstar Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who brazenly boasts about doing his own stunts and robs Colt of recognition. To make things worse, Colt undergoes a stunt-related mishap that plunges him into a pit of self-doubt and shame, but little does he know that he is yet to experience something far more nefarious: dangerous, hidden schemes that rival ones in a riveting action-thriller. All hell breaks loose, and a string of insane, audacious stunts ensue. If you're interested in /Film's glowing review of the film, you can read it here.

The upcoming The Fall Guy, in theaters on May 3rd, and a salute to stunt people, had it’s premiere at SXSW earlier this week.
AP reported:
The SXSW premiere of “The Fall Guy” came with some of its own stunts. A pair of motorcycles sped through the crowds milling outside the Paramount Theater before Blunt and Gosling arrived in the back of a pick-up. Blunt and Gosling weren’t the only ones fresh from the Academy Awards. Leitch and his wife, Kelly McCormick, (a producer on “The Fall Guy”) produced a clip reel of stunts for the telecast. Though stunt performance isn’t an Oscar category (a sore point that comes up in “The Fall Guy”), Leitch thinks it will happen soon.

With both the Barbie and Oppenheimer stars on board, it’s not just the only thing people should look out for. This movie is a rollercoaster ride of action and rom-com, ticking off every box on fans’ wish lists!
And although The Fall Guy was action-packed, Ryan Gosling did little to no stunts, thanks to his eight identical stunt doubles whom he chose to thank at a recent public appearance. The number of stunts made him feel like he was on an Avengers set, channeling his inner superhero!

After Vin Diesel had left the stage and introduced high-octane Fast X footage, a voiceover asked CinemaCon attendees to remain patient for a special surprise as professionals prepped the stage.
The big screen then promoted EightySeven North Productions banner, while a team of stunt professionals from the company stormed the stage to show off their impressive set of skills. It started with a motorcycle rider dragging a man across the stage followed by a gymnastics display, a mini car zooming back and forth, and a slew of aerial flips and tricks. Minutes later, filmmaker David Leitch took the stage and “detonated” two performers who jumped from the Colosseum rafters to mats on the stage.
The spectacle, near the end of Universal’s studio presentation, served as a way for Leitch, a former stuntman, to introduce his upcoming film The Fall Guy. In doing so, he welcomed his stars Ryan Gosling...

Exclusive: AMC Studios is in early development on Diligence, a drama from Sheldon Turner and Jennifer Klein’s Vendetta Productions, for AMC and AMC+.
Written by Turner, in Diligence, when a former investigative journalist begins working for private intelligence firm Diligence, he finds himself influencing the news rather than reporting it. Alongside his former Mossad agent partner, he delves headfirst into the seedy world of private intelligence, never quite sure if the work he’s doing is in the name of good or evil.
Turner and Klein executive produce with Tana Jamieson and Barry Jossen of A+E Studios where Vendetta is under a first-look deal. AMC Studios is the studio.
Turner most recently co-wrote Road House, Doug Liman’s upcoming remake of the 1989 film, starring Jake Gyllenhaal in the role portrayed by the late Patrick Swayze. He also created Stronger, a female empowerment bodybuilding drama series starring and executive produced by Insecure standout Yvonne Orji,...
