Cinedigm Entertainment Group has acquired all U.S. distribution rights to “Arthur Newman,” starring Colin Firth and Emily Blunt. The film, which had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, will be released theatrically in mid-2013, followed by digital, DVD and TV rollouts. Written by Becky Johnston ("Prince of Tides") and directed by first-time feature filmmaker Dante Ariola, “Arthur Newman” follows a divorced sad sack who fakes his own death, buys a new identity and falls in with an equally damaged woman looking for a new life.
