"I love that our school's haunted!" Freestyle Digital Media has released an official trailer for an indie teen comedy titled School Spirits, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Allison Eckert. This will be available to watch on VOD in early June for those who want to watch. A girl from Chicago relocates to a small town only to find it is inhabited by ghosts. A struggle against a bad spirit ensues with two of her new friends in order to keep the town's children safe. Tiffany Alvord (from "Guilty Party") stars as Zoey, joined by Teala Dunn, Piper Curda, Christian Delgrosso, Audrey Whitby, Philip Labes, Josh Levi, and Mark Bloom. This looks fun and low key, the ghosts aren't so much scary as they are amusing and strange. Here's the new official trailer (+ poster) for Allison Eckert's School Spirits, direct from YouTube: Zoey (Tiffany Alvord) finds herself uprooted...

Set up as a silly, old-school teen comedy, filled with wisecracks and stereotypes, School Spirits soon turns to the supernatural side that is hinted at in its title, what with old ghosts running around, acting foolish, and what-not. The likable ensemble cast features Tiffany Alvord, Teala Dunn, Piper Curda, Christian Delgrosso, Audrey Whitby, and Alysia Reiner. Allison Eckert directed. The official synopsis goes into a bit more depth: "School Spirits tells the story of a girl who relocates to a small town only to find it inhabited by ghosts...

When Tiffany Alvord first started posting song covers on YouTube in 2008, she was a 16-year-old with a cheap camera, big dreams, and no idea how to navigate the music industry. Now, 10 years later, she’s an indie music pro with 3.2 million subscribers who regularly releases stunningly high-quality music videos for her covers and her own original songs. And 2019 is set to be her biggest year on the platform yet: on top of continuing to release covers and lifestyle videos (a genre she expanded into over the past couple of years), Alvord plans to release one new original song per month — music video and all.
For Alvord, much of her YouTube career has been Diy. She learned how to edit, how to create attractive thumbnails, how to make cover art for iTunes and then Spotify, and how to forge relationships with other pros in her space (like regular collaborator and fellow...
