John Warren is a time-based media artist primarily producing
experimental nonfiction films and videos. Many of his films are lyrical
meditations that seek to question, to interpret, and to express that
which transcends language. His work has screened at venues including
The London Film Festival, Images Festival, Other Cinema, REDCAT, The
Echo Park Film Center, Anthology Film Archives, Boston's Museum of Fine
Arts, the Antimatter Film Festival, and the Black Maria Film Festival.
His feature-length screenplays have won accolades in Hollywood, and his
video editing for PBS has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy. Warren
holds a BFA from Emerson College and an MFA from the California
Institute of the Arts. He teaches experimental video and performance
art at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
