People is reporting that Vogue editor-in-chief and America's Next Top Model judge Andre Leon Talley will not be returning for the show's upcoming 18th cycle. He'll be replaced by Kelly Cutrone, fashion publicist, former reality star, and founder of marketing firm People's Revolution. Cutrone has previously appeared MTV's The Hills and The City, as well as her own Bravo reality series Kell on Earth.
I don't know how I feel about Andre leaving the show. I've never been a huge fan of his judging on the panel, but his presence on the show helped give Top Model some fashion credibility and he wasn't as substantive as I would have liked. The show may not have produced a superstar since he first arrived in cycle 14 (aka the one that Krista won), but they went from Seventeen Magazine and shoots featuring the guys from Jackass to Italian Vogue and Galliano, which is pretty significant progress.

America's Next Top Model contestant Angelea Preston has said that she hopes to be third-time lucky on the upcoming 'All-Stars' cycle. The 17th cycle of Tyra Banks's modelling competition will feature fan favourites from previous cycles returning for a second chance at the prizes, including a spread in Vogue Italia and a contract with CoverGirl cosmetics. Angelea previously auditioned for America's Next Top Model in cycle 12 and then made it to the final three in cycle 14, which was won by Krista White. Speaking in a preview video posted by The CW, Angelea says: "Third time is a charm! Three strikes and you're out! I don't want to get a strike! I'm trying to hit my home run baby!" It’s the America’s next Top model Final this Monday at 9pm on Living
Raina and Krista are going head-to-head in one almighty battle to receive the coveted title of America’s Next Top Model.
Tyra has worked the girls for 12 long hard weeks. They’ve been made-over, vamped up, dressed down, covered in clay, posed on a busy subway, squeezed in a Hobbit hole and repeatedly critiqued, criticised and broken apart.
Now only two girls remain, in a Antm final Bigger than any other: set to push Krista and Raina to the edge.
A helicopter ride take our girls to their CoverGirl commercial shoot, where they must perform to camera with precise and perfect timing.
A Seventeen magazine cover shoot puts them through their paces, and an intimate home visit from Tyra will bring our final two to tears.

Another fantastic episode of Antm last night began with a lot of bickering inside the model household! A Taco Toaster fire fuelled Krista to question Jessica’s abilities as a stay-at-home Mum, upsetting Jessica greatly.
The first Tyra Mail arrived and read:
Who Says You Can’T Fit A Square Peg Into A Round Hole…
The girls pilled into the bus and were taken to a location where Lord of the Rings was filmed! Met by Mr Jay, they were told they only 5 frames each to pose inside the doorway of Hobbit House.
Jessica struggled being too literally and too commercial in her poses. Alexandra was told she was too pin-up, Raina’s shots didn’t look comfortable where as Angelea and Krista were both praised for their performances. Both were confident that they would win: but it was Krista who took the reward!

America’s Next Top Model has been putting a lot of weight on the impending winner of Cycle 15 because, this time, she’s not just a winner of a reality modeling show... she's the future of the modeling world. So says Tyra anyway.
But it's true that the prizes at stake are much more serious this season, and perhaps the winner will actually find the sort of success previous champions have not.
With that in mind, the finale seemed more harried and perfunctory than in previous seasons; I thought it had too many components and it was just a giant race to the finish. Let’s break it down, shall we?
The Photoshoot
Finally, Chelsey and Ann shoot their future cover for Vogue Italia, and who should greet them but Valentina Serra, who by the way, sounds like she’s mimicking an Italian accent. It sounds so strangely exaggerated.

Airing between 8pm and 10pm on The CW, Krista White's victory also garnered the program's highest 16-34 female demographic since the 13th season premiere in September 2009 Elsewhere, American Idol - which saw the departure of Michael Lynche - tied with last week's figure of 19.1m on Fox. If at first you don't succeed…try, try again. And then again. And then one more time. Krista White, the winner of cycle 14 of America's Next Top Model, can definitely attest to taking that phrase to heart. And stay she did, all the way until the very end, where she was crowned by Tyra Banks herself. Krista was clearly a front-runner throughout the competition—she was never in the bottom two—but did she really think the competition was just a cakewalk down the runway? "I didn't think I had...

(S14E11) 'America's Next Top Model' is finally down to it's final two and I haven't seen two equal competitors in a while. While each had certain strengths, I think that the exposure of the television show will help both Krista and Raina. I am a bit disappointed that 'Entertainment Weekly' accidentally dropped the names of the final two a week too early, but it seemed obvious that Krista and Raina were destined to be the final two.
I'm really happy that the show has moved to the idea of a double elimination before the final episode because there was a lot to go through if the episode had to eliminate someone at the CoverGirl commercial. Not only did we witness the runway, the girls had the Seventeen shoot and a family portrait.

For winning the 14th cycle of "America's Next Top Model", Krista White earns a contract with Wilhelmina Models, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics and a six-page spread and cover of Seventeen magazine. The model hailing from Pine Bluff, Ark. beats Raina Hein in the final commercial ad and final runway walk.
"Krista, you are amazing. You are the embodiment of America's Next Top Model," Tyra Banks told Krista after revealing the win. "You came in here and you didn't know what you were doing but you learned and you listened and you blossomed. There is an honesty and a rawness about you that is so beautiful and we think you could have an international career."
Krista was so overwhelmed by the victory that she cried and prompted judge Andre Leon Talley to tear up as well. "I feel just overwhelmed, I can't believe it's me! Twelve cycles of trying out and it's me!

Krista White achieved her "America's Next Top Model" dream, taking those cheekbones all the way to the end.
On the Wednesday night (May 12) finale, the 26-year-old from Pine Bluff, Ark., had the goods to take down fellow finalist Raina Hein in front of the cameras and on the runway.
White began pretty rocky at the beginning of the season, but improved her skills each episode, winning challenge after challenge as she neared the finale.
At the final CoverGirl shoot, her photos were not as fun and flirty as Hein's, but White somehow worked through the commercial despite nerves, forgetting her lines and having to rely on cue cards.
The Anna Sui runway finale required the finalists to be lighthearted and fun, something that White was able to pull off even has she delivered a strong walk down the runway. Hein was clearly not as powerful with her walk, only improving...

As Angelea would say, here's some drama for your ass. Wednesday's two-hour America's Next Top Model finale began with Angelea, Krista, Raina and Alexandra competing for the title and the career-boost care package that comes along with it. But of course, before any runway could be walked or CoverGirl commercial shot, that foursome had to be halved to a duo. On "America's Next Top Model," who should come out on top in New Zealand?
Even though there are four model wannabes left, we get two back-to-back episodes Wednesday (May 12). So there will be at least one model who bites the runway dust before the finale.
Naturally, each of them have their strengths and weaknesses (and dramas). Let's break it down:
Alexandra Underwood - Wow, we're so thrilled that this plus-sized model has gotten so far, without the weird hang-ups of "Top Model" plus-sized past. She's has the unfortunate notoriety for having fallen down twice on a runway challenge, once when a giant pendulum actually knocked her off the stage. Ouch. She's been in the Bottom Two twice and only won one group reward challenge. Fair is fair: This was the best episode of the cycle so far. Sure, it was still pretty crummy by Antm standards -- aren't the go-sees supposed to be a little more tense? -- but at long last, everyone in the cast showed signs of life. Stupid life, mostly. But life. Thanks, New Zealand! Raina gushed that the finalists were "the luckiest six girls in the entire world," but, like Norm MacDonald as Lou Gehrig, maybe she was being sarcastic. If there's ever been a more appropriate metaphor for Antm than this week's photoshoot, I don't know what it is: All aboard the S train, which just shuttles back and forth, back and forth, never really making much of a journey, and always smelling like career failure and boiling garbage. (Trust me.) So it is with Top Model, loathe to break any new ground or move in compelling, fresh directions; instead it just sways to and fro, from Grand Central to Times Square, from ratty weaves to arguments about respect, from annoying "you don't know me" screaming matches to over-enthusiasm for Seventeen magazine.

Could last night's Top Model have been any duller? Somewhere between Brenda's blathering on about her haircut (still?!) and Anslee's clench-jawed perpetual sourness, I slipped into coma. This is just my subconscious typing this now -- obviously no person possessing both free will and the physical ability to turn something off would continue to slog through this season... right? Why is Tyra doing this to us? How can Antm possibly continue for more cycles, when this one is already running on fumes? This week, the modeltestants had to get up on stage, but it wasn't the acting challenge...

If the next cycle of this show doesn't have some kind of compelling gimmick (actual human feelings) or twist (Born Agains vs. Atheists), I think we might have to part ways. A dance-inspired challenge? Excuse me while I try to wrest myself from this coma. Nope, I couldn't do it, coma: 1, Tyra: 0. A blah challenge, warmed-over fights, dated references, and an elimination that arrived by telegraph months ago -- Top Model, why have you forsaken me? Brenda complained that she was having an "identity crisis" thanks to the haircut, and Ren said she was "93 percent sure" she was going to leave the competition.

The girls leave their New York home to find a 'Fab Bus' parked outside with season three star Tocarro Jones waiting inside. She tells them they will be split into two teams and tested on their fashion knowledge. Raina is named her assistant because she won the last panel. The Blue Team is Krista, Simone, Angelea, Jessica and Alexandra. The Red Team is Anslee, Tatiana, Ren, Brenda and Alasia. The first team to correctly answer five questions will win. It ends up neck-in-neck at 4-4 between the two teams as Brenda and Simone step up. Their question is who hosts America's Next Top Model in Germany. The answer is Heidi Klum and Simone gets it, securing the win. The blue team's prize - including Raina - is to meet with the reps from Bluefly.com for a go-see, with Simone being named the winning girl. The losing team has to help Bluefly's copywriters weigh,...

Nudity, screaming, wipeouts, and the dawn of the André era -- but remind me again why this week's Top Model needed to be a grueling 90 minutes? It would have been (barely) permissible were it one giganto episode, but no, it was pretty plainly the ass-half of last week's also needlessly long episode, plus a full regular episode. I can't tell what's worse: that kind of cruddy last-minute patchworking, or Tyra's wrap jumpsuit with pockets. Just kidding..., of course I can tell. It was the jumpsuit. Let's do this, kids. When we left off last week, the modeltestants had just been...

Omigod you guys! Antm is back for its 14th (!) cycle, and despite my inherent skepticism about the whole enterprise, if the premiere is anything to go on, we're in for a pretty decent ride. You know, if you like your rides bony, marginally unstable, and full of outrageous platitudes. And I think you do! The 90-minute episode included two rounds of casting, plus makeovers, fights, and a teaser about next week's challenge. Ye gods, producers: Pace yourselves. Grab your heels, and hang on to yer drama, cause here...we...go... The opening retrospective tragically included scenes from the first majestic season,...

(S14E01) In an 'America's Next Top Model' first, the premiere spends 90 minutes on the casting episode. Luckily for the viewers, the camp factor is severe this season. Not only in the first two minutes of the show did one contestant compare her fellow contestants as "bitches," we got a lot of really weird back stories and quips. Where does Tyra find these women? They were part of religious cults, impregnated on their first time, and Krista is afraid of white men's "pink penises" because they look like "raw meat."
Tyra decides to knock off Myspace with what she called "MyFiercePage" to cut the semi-finalists to the final thirteen contestants. This would have been really edgy in 2007, but now anything Myspace related feels lazy and outdated. If Tyra created "FierceBook," I would have found it more believable.
