Pankaj Kapoor heads content development for Mediente Films. In last decade and a half he has executive produced films in all the major film markets of the world and worked across genres.
These include arthouse films like Yellow, directed by Nick Cassavetes ('The Notebook', 'John Q') which premiered at Toronto Film Festival; genre films like 'Storage 24' directed by British director Johannes Roberts ('47 Meters Down', 'Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City') and the documentary 'Battle for Banaras' (Kamal Swaroop) which was official selection at Dubai International Film Festival and in competition at Cinema Du Reel.
He started his career as a journalist with the Times of India covering crime, education and fashion beat before moving to reporting on the film industry. For one of the stories, he spent two days as a beggar at Hanuman Mandir at Rajiv Chawk, Delhi to report on the life on the streets.
As a writer Pankaj Kapoor has worked in both film and television industry and written for directors like Sudhir Mishra, Ketan Mehta, Shivam Nair among others.
