If it were up to us, "Project Runway" would never be "out," it would just play on a loop 24/7/365.
Sadly, Season 14 will say auf wiedersehen on Thursday, November 5th, so now seems like a good time to take stock and rank the previous 13 seasons, with the expectation that the 2015 season will probably fall somewhere in the middle of the pack once it's done. (Tim Gunn "hated" Season 14, but there have been worse.) Every season of PR is a precious, unique little rhinestone, but, like the judges, we have our favorites -- and now it's Our turn to be biased.
So here's our very subjective but still definitive worst-to-best ranking, which may only be challenged by a glare from Nina Garcia, an eye roll from Michael Kors, a "make it work" from Tim Gunn, or an "out" from Heidi Klum.

First, The CW announces an all-star version of America’s Next Top Model. And now, Lifetime tells us that we’ll see some of our favorite reality stars back on an all-star edition of Project Runway?! Is 2011 just a year-long Christmas?! Because this is quite a gift to us pop-culture junkies: In addition to a ninth season of the Emmy-nominated fashion competition, the network will air Project Runway All Stars, eight one-hour episodes featuring previous contestants. This makes it slightly different than the two-hour Project Runway: All-Stars Challenge, which saw the return of players Jeffrey Sebelia, Santino Rice, Daniel Vosovic,...

Go ahead and move right along to the next post if you haven't seen last night's Project Runway season finale and don't wish to be Spoiled. After beating Jay Nicolas Sario for the third spot, Mila Hermanovski came in third place in the Bryant Park showdown for the season seven crown. Here, the contestant discusses her ice queen image, why Jay seems to hate her, and her glitter-fest job on Dancing with the Stars. Plus, a word about her new bangs! Entertainment Weekly: Mila, I have to admit, I was surprised...

Project Runway star Jay Nicolas Sario has said that he stands behind his designs. The San Francisco-based designer was eliminated from the Lifetime show last week, narrowly missing out on the final place at Bryant Park. When asked what he thought of the judges' comments, he replied: "I believe in everything I do and stand behind it. "I stayed true to myself and a lot of people are responding to the things I do. I don't design for those three judges or Tim Gunn. I stood behind my designs and I'm going to keep doing that because (more)...

Jay Nicolas Sario's fourth-place finish on Project Runway isn't just a loss for the 31-year-old San Francisco resident himself -- it kinda sucks for us too. Jay's deocy collection at Bryant Park was a master class production, and seeing Michael Kors rendered asthmatic would have been a record-early Christmas treat. Sadly, Jay was eliminated in favor of Mila last night, but he took time to tell Movieline about Tim Gunn's advice, Mila's "expected" collection, and the fellow designer who helped him during a dark hour.

Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert! For The Love Of Cuckoo Chanel, Spoiler Alert! If you have not seen last night's episode of Project Runway and do not want to find out who was eliminated, then do not read any further. Despite producing an edgy collection full of his signature figure-hugging embellishments, Jay Nicolas Sario could not beat Mila Hermanovski for the third slot in the season 7 finals. We chatted with the San Francisco-based designer about showing at Bryant Park as a decoy, judges' hypocrisy, and his fear of breasts. Entertainment Weekly: How are you feeling the morning after your elimination episode?...

On this second-to-last episode of Project Runway season 7, Heidi Klum meets with the final four designers: Emilio Sosa, Seth Aaron Henderson, Mila Hermanovski, and Jay Nicolas Sario. It feels like forever since there were sixteen (anyone remember Christiane?) With a $9,000 budget, and four months, the designers will return home, where they will create a ten piece collection. Mila and Jay will then choose three of their looks to show to the judges, “Top American designer,” Michael Kors and “Fashion Editor for Marie Claire magazine” Nina Garcia. (Is that how Heidi says it each week? Surely I should know by now!)
Then one will be in…and the other will be aut.
At the Atlas, Mila packs her bags, vowing she will beat Jay. After all, she’s a better designer than he is. The boys prepare to say their good-byes as they pack up. Emilio reminds Jay, “Don’t forget your purse.

The triumphant return of "Television Snippets" has arrived. Not only am I past a 3,000 mile move from one coast of the Us to another, but the Fall season has completely wrapped up, the Olympics have come and gone, and the Spring season is officially back. Sure, I could have come back in January, but shows only came back for 3 weeks or so before the Olympics, so I figured I'd wait until now.
Note: I won't be talking about ratings this week because of the Olympics (the last time I'll mention them, I promise).
So let's do this.

Nip/Tuck just aired its last episode. It was a shockingly subdued season, focusing more on the relationship between Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon). Instead of chaos, murder, mayhem, racist abusing tranvestites, or severe drug addiction, this season showed us the final deterioration of McNamara/Troy. While on first thought,...

Let's face it — the last season of Project Runway was pretty much a bust. The challenges were dull, the designs were uninspired, and there was no consistency with the judges.
Perhaps it had something to do with the show moving to Los Angeles, which is always a debacle (remember Laverne & Shirley?), but there was definitely something ... missing.
There's reason to be hopeful about Season 7, though, as the show will return to New York, and it appears that our favorite judges will be back.
Premiering on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 10Pm Et, host Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn, judges Michael Kors (leading designer) and Nina Garcia (fashion director for Marie Claire magazine) will be joined by 16 new designers vying for a shot to make their way to Bryant Park and show their collection in front of top industry insiders during New York Fashion Week.
There are only three four out designers that...
