This documentary is by fans and for the fans, chronicling why John Carpenter’s classic has stood the test of time. Bringing together some of the brightest voices from independent horror we will explore what makes the film so special. From the music, the mask to Michael Myers, everyone has their own take on Halloween (1978), and why it is the blueprint for slasher horror and in our humble opinion, has never been bettered.
2018 is a big year for Halloween fans as it marks 40 years since the release of John Carpenters original holiday classic which introduced us to the bogeyman Michael Myers. In addition, we can also look forward to a new sequel which follows on from the original film and looks to rewrite the history of the series, bringing back Jamie Leigh Curtis as Laurie Strode, Nick Castle as The Shape and John Carpenter as the producer.

Aside from the fact that we haven’t seen Michael Myers on the big screen since 2009, there seems to be a multitude of reasons why we’re greatly looking forward to the next Halloween movie. Granted, we could talk about this all day, but a few of them are how it’ll ignore everything but the events of the original film, and how it’ll be set in an alternate universe of sorts, somewhat changing the ending of John Carpenter’s eternal classic.
Coincidentally enough, this year also marks the 40th anniversary of the timeless masterpiece. So, naturally, one would expect for wide-sweeping documentaries uncovering numerous factoids about the series to be in the works – and we’re certainly not ruling that out – though we’re quite pleased to learn that something like For the Love of the Boogeyman: 40 Years of Halloween is in the pipeline.

Ever wonder how to make a snuff film? I mean, I guess it would be like any other film, right? You need your shot list, good lighting, etc. I'd say get a tripod, too, because that shaky-cam shit is So overdone! Need any more advice? James Plumb's Kerb Crawlers should do the trick!
The flick stars Matthew Batte, Matthew Doman, Martyn Stallard, Lee Bane, Mel Stevens, Rachel Leonard, Rose Granger, Simon Riordan, and Daisy Dior as "Ana."
Synopsis
Hired to make a depraved snuff movie, five men abduct a young woman to be their plaything for the night. However, once the cameras start rolling so do heads as they discover their victim belongs to another... something living inside of her... something monstrous. The tables now turned, the men will receive a lesson on true pain and torture as they become the "stars" of the film.

Welsh filmmakers Andrew Jones and James Plumb re-team once more following Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection, for yet another film that shares it moniker with a previous film – this time the 1972 film starring John Carradine and Mary Woronov, Silent Night Bloody Night. And as they did with their previous horror flick Jones and Plumb take the basic premise of the ’72 movie and craft a new film around it. So as with Notld: Resurrection, Silent Night, Bloody Night: The Homecoming is essentially a remake of the original film – taking in a number of the same characters, the same abandoned “mansion” and yet another escaped psycho from the local looney bin, yet giving it a British Welsh spin and adding a few new scenes and characters into the mix…...

In 2012,the deceased have risen from their graves with only one instinct-to feed on the living. Based on the 1968 zombie classic, Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection is not a direct remake of George Romero’s original, instead it takes inspiration from the original movie, often playing with the audiences expectations and subverting the events that you would expect, given the trend of “remakes”, to take place.

North Bank Entertainment a UK production company will produce a British version to the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead by George Romero. The film is slated for a 2012 release date in the UK. I wonder how this one is going to turn out. Both the director and producer talked about the film and it's direction, read their comments inside. Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection is directed by James Plumb and written by Andrew Jones and stars Richard Goss, Sabrina Dickens and Sarah Louise Madison.

Back in July, it was announced that a British version of George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead was in the works. Titled Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection, the film is directed by James Plumb and began filming earlier this year. We don’t have a release date yet, but the first teaser trailer is now available and we have it for you to watch.
“In 2012,the deceased have risen from their graves with only one instinct-to feed on the living. As academics speculate on the scientific cause of the phenomena, theologians point to the Armageddon foretold in the Book of Revelation. As the cities are over run and civilization crumbles, a family take refuge from the undead army in an isolated farmhouse in West Wales. But the greatest threat is already among them.”...

The zombie hordes are once again shambling across the U.K. Where, oh, where, is Shaun (of the Dead) when we need him most?
Yet another tribute to George A. Romero's public domain cult classic, Night of the Living Dead, is currently in production in the U.K. Titled Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection, the movie is described by co-writer and producer Andrew Jones as a "companion piece to the original film" — not an attempt to "improve on it" — that uses "practical FX rather than CGI," in true low-budget fashion. The movie is the feature debut for co-writer and director James Plumb, who said in a recent press release that his goal is to make a "truly independent" movie, rather than "yet another glossy, sanitized Hollywood" horror movie.
After seeing the newly-released poster and teaser trailer, we're pretty sure they nailed the "independent" look, but whether or not...

Because it seems everyone can cash in on the Night of the Living Dead name, we'll be seeing Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection on the release horizon. A pseudo-remake of sorts, this is a UK production from producer Andrew Jones and director James Plumb who both see Resurrection as a companion piece to George Romero's original film.
Jones says in a press release, "We have fresh ideas for how to revitalise the zombie sub-genre and have created a story that combines modern elements with the classic premise." Which begs the question: Why not infuse those fresh ideas into an original story? Because Night of the Living Dead is a recognizable name, that's why!
Today, a teaser trailer was released.
