Rob grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In high school he was a member of the track & field and basketball teams. He was also drum major of the marching band. He attended Michigan State University on scholarship, double-majoring in classical vocal performance and music education. He was cast in numerous principal stage roles throughout high school and college.
After graduating, Rob moved to New York City. He quickly began working in print and commercials, while studying improvisation at Upright Citizens Brigade. Shortly thereafter, he was cast in the 1st National Tour of Disney's The Lion King, playing many roles during his tenure, including Simba.
After an 8 week run at the Hollywood Pantages theater, he made the decision to move to the west coast. Now in Los Angeles full time, Rob has most recently shot spots for Buick, Chrysler, and Burger King among others. Rob is also passionate about Habitat for Humanity as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters, having been both a "little" and a "big" within the program.
