Íris Kjærnested is a young up and coming Icelandic/Swedish composer,
writing for amongst other things Commercials and Film.
Born in Iceland in the eighties, it is hard to pinpoint when Íris started her musical career as she dabbled in writing, composing and even performing almost from the get go.
In 2005 she graduated with a degree in composing. By then she had already written music for short-films, and soon after her graduation she commenced writing music for commercials abroad, as well as documentaries and films, all the while continuing to compose for new short-film projects that could be seen anywhere from 'Göteborgs Internationella Film Festival' to 'Festival de Cannes'.
Íris is versatile much like her cultural melting pot after years in places such as Iceland, Sweden, France and Australia. Her music ranges from sound-scapes to pop to world music and even classical film scoring, as she keeps evolving.
