The schedule for the 2010 Toronto Screamfest has been unveiled and Veronika London (Black Eve) has been announced to host. Also in attendance are the following shorts: "Expired Poetry," "Worm," "Until Death," "Remote," and "Victim." The event will blow the roof off as Adam Green's Frozen highlights Screamfest. Abolition Poster by JSnSKG Films is a production company based in Ontario, Canada. Skg is relatively new to the biz', but already they are participating in three films: 48 Hours in Purgatory, Bitter, and now Abolition. Abolition will also be shot in Ontario and the film is directed by the also relatively new Canadian director Mike Klassen. Klassen takes some time out from producing and writing to talk about his horror and thriller influenced film, Abolition. Have a listen to this tit-for-tat interview, as Klassen describes his film as "if Taxi Driver and The Exorcist had a baby." These are two parents you want to have.

The Toronto Screamfest Film Festival was started by filmmakers Mike Klassen and Kyle Parry and this event is in to its second year in 2010. Screamfest is announcing several of the films appearing this year and the horror highlights include Expired Poetry, Until Death, Remote and Victim. Each of these films are shorts and Victim is a film from Canadian director Ryan Barrett (If a Tree Falls). The film covers themes of physical abuse and the lasting mental scars that are left behind once the abuse is over. This film was completed last spring and stars Emily Alatalo (Dead Genesis) and Jonathon Steen (48 Hours in Purgatory). The film also has several movie posters available, two of which can be found below. So, have a pique at Barrett's latest and get set for the film's showing September 22nd in Toronto.
