For those who think Covid has changed everything in our lives, I have good news and bad news. The former is that although feature film releases have largely been in new and different venues, their timing might be the same as ever. The bad news is that the continuing pattern is of studios’ tendency to release the dregs of their inventories in January and February. That’s what’s left after they’ve rushed all the primo products out before 12/31 for Oscar eligibility. This one appears to be a prime example of business as usual. Unfortunately.
Barb And Star Go To Vista Del Mar is a disappointing attempt at a coming-of-middle-age comedy. As any SNL fan knows from the range of her sketches, when Kristen Wiig is on her game, she can be hilarious; other characters of hers can be pointlessly or excessively annoying. In this outing,...

iZombie, the new… criminal investigation meets, well, zombies… show from the CW has a lot to recommend, even just in the theory, but it has to really wow to deliver on the hopes of those who are going to bother to tune in for something called iZombie, and it does.
Rose McIver stars as Liv Moore (ha), a type-a medical student who finds herself turned into a zombie at a boat-party gone wrong. Without a lot of options for procuring brains, she takes a job at the city morgue. Her boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli), has caught on, and finally catches her in the act of brain consumption, but...

CW is promoting the upcoming episode of Arrow called “Nanda Parbat”. The episode will introduce the character The Atom, which has fans super excited about. Now we are seeing the first look of Ray Palmer becoming the character, which will take place on the February 25th episode. No preview or synopsis has been given for it yet, leading us to believe that CW will be making the most out of this that they can. You can see the awesome photo above.
It is nice to see that they want to promote this episode. It sounds like they are hoping for rave reviews and ratings for this mini sweeps season. Luckily we think that will be the case for them. Fans seemed pretty pumped up and are eager to see introduction to Atom along the way. Hopefully they will continue on with the character for rest of the season as well.

He returned home to Starling City, welcomed by his devoted mother Moira (Susanna Thompson), beloved sister Thea (Willa Holland) and former flame Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). With the aid of his trusted chauffeur/bodyguard John Diggle (David Ramsey), the computer-hacking skills of Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and the occasional, reluctant assistance of former police detective, now beat cop, Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), Oliver has been waging a one-man war on crime.

It’s that time of year… network shows are going off the air (some for good) and the summer season is about to premiere. We decided to take a look at all of the season finales that have aired thus far and here are more of our staff picks for the best and the worst for the 2011-2012 season.
(Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn’t seen these season finales!)
Melody’s Picks:
Best: Being Human
What a fantastic season finale Being Human delivered! Josh, Aidan, and Sally were in the fight of their lives, giving us an even more exhilarating finale than in the first season and cliff-hangers that have us wanting more, more than ever before! Josh found himself at odds with Nora and Ray and it may have cost someone their life. Redemption comes at a cost, freedom comes at a cost, and that is what these...
