Lee Briggs joined Industrial Light & Magic in January 2009 and has worked through the production ranks spending a large portion of his early years on location. He has a knack for tackling large scale highly complex projects including three of the five Michael Bay Transformers, seven Marvel pictures; Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Antman 1 and 2, Dr. Strange, Ryan Coogler's Black Panther and Captain Marvel, but also collaborating closely with filmmakers on more intimate projects like Darren Aronofsky's Noah and more recently Jordan Peele's US and John Krasinski's A Quiet Place Part II.
As a visual effects producer Briggs is responsible for working directly with the film's Director, Producer and the ILM visual effects team to generate visuals that push the bounds of the film's creative vision. Briggs is also responsible for overall budgeting, scheduling and creative staffing of shows.
Originally from North Carolina, Briggs received a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Wake Forest University. Immediately after Wake, Briggs worked as an actor, producer and director in New York City on numerous TV shows, commercials, and Off-Broadway productions. In 2015, Lee produced and directed the short film Baby which was screened at the Mill Valley Film Festival in Marin County, California.
Lee recently moved to the United Kingdom to work with the ILM London team on the upcoming Colin Trevorrow directed Jurassic World: Dominion.
