It appeared that the noise and drama of the Drv Pnk Stadium greeting Messi was a bit too much for the 7-year-old to take.
But Messi quickly took note of what was going on and made sure to check on Asahd, giving him comfort before making sure he was okay.

The Miami Heat’s mascot, Burnie, was on the receiving end of two heavy blows in what was supposed to be a friendly mock fight against Conor McGregor. The fight took place during a third-quarter timeout of Game 4 of the NBA Finals to promote McGregor’s pain relief spray.
A video of the incident shows the former UFC champion punch the mascot in the head and then in the face when he fell to the ground. McGregor then proceeded to administer the spray to the mascot before staffers appeared to pull Burnie off the court by his legs.

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Heat 108-95, taking a 3-1 lead in the series.

As Asian Pacific American Heritage Month kicks off, Gold House has unveiled this year’s A100, the Api leadership coalition’s sixth annual list of the Asian Pacific leaders who have most significantly impacted American culture and society in the last year.
Among the five categories included in the list — activism and journalism; business and technology; entertainment and media; lifestyle and fashion; and sports and gaming — one person tops each category as an overall A1 (maximum impact).
“Gold House’s A100 List is a vital representation of the diverse opportunities and achievements of and for Asian Pacific leaders,” said Michelle Yeoh, a Gold House A100 Hall of Famer and inaugural Gold Gala Honoree last year. “Becoming begins with seeing — and it shows how we’re just getting started. I’m so proud to be part of past classes and applaud this year’s class.”

Players from both the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat took a knee during the national anthem ahead of Wednesday night’s game, marking a somber moment of a chaotic day.
The players’ demonstration comes after Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol as members of Congress convened to certify the Electoral College votes in favor of President-elect Joe Biden. The violent riot that broke out late Wednesday morning interrupted the congressional proceeding and saw government officials evacuated from the scene.
While the NBA pros took a knee in dismay of the assault on Capitol Hill, they also demonstrated against the decision in the Jacob Blake shooting. On Tuesday Kenosha officials decided that the police officer who shot Blake multiple times will not receive charges.
“We play tonight’s game with a heavy after yesterday’s decision in Kenosha, and knowing that protesters in our nation’s capital are treated differently...

Orlando, Oct 5 (Ians) After Game 2 of the ongoing NBA Finals, Jimmy Butler had said "It's not over". He made sure he lived up to his statement in Game 3 as Miami Heat beat LA Lakers 115-104 in Game 3. Butler recorded a 40-point triple double to keep Heat alive in the series at 2-1.
With Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo unavailable for the Game 3, Butler lived upto his superstar billing to become the third player in league history to record such a stat line in the Finals, and the first to do so in a win. Butler became only the third player after Jerry West and LeBron James to record a 40-point triple-double in NBA Finals history. He is also the first player since Shaquille O'Neal in 2002 to score 40 points without attempting a 3-pointer, as per an NBA release.
"We won. I could care less about a triple-double. We play this game to win.

Kelly Clarkson is spicing up her life – for a good cause.
The “Stronger” singer, 35, took a bite out a Habanero pepper after Trisha Yearwood challenged her to the Als Pepper Challenge.
Accepting the dare to eat a pepper to bring awareness to the cause (which follows the lead of the Als Ice Bucket Challenge), Clarkson couldn’t help but jokingly say she “cannot stand” Yearwood, for putting her up to the task.
“I just want to say, first of all, I cannot stand you, Trisha Yearwood, because I was in the clear, Garth didn’t even say my name and...

Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley are bringing the heat to Als awareness.
After the famed Ice Bucket Challenge raised millions for Als research in 2014, one family has stepped in to turn that research into a cure through the #ALSPepperChallenge — and they have the world of sports on board.
Last October, social worker Patty Haberstroh of Westport, Connecticut, was diagnosed with Als. Her family, including her son Tom, a former ESPN announcer, immediately jumped into action. On Christmas Day, the Haberstroh clan posted a video of themselves eating hot peppers and daring their friends to do the same in the...
