American actor Michael Erle Hancock was born October 4, 1965 in Augusta, Georgia. An extrovert from childhood, Hancock found the spotlight early... making appearances on local television shows, theatrical productions and photo shoots in his hometown of Warner Robins, Georgia.
From an early age, Mike was passionate about drama, music and sports. Hancock attended Warner Robins High School where he was a member of the 1981 national championship high school football team. He was an active in drama, including two lead roles in the annual Warner Robins High School Follies/Revue in 1982 and 1983. Hancock graduated from WRHS in 1983.
After high school, Hancock attended the University of Georgia, before graduating from Georgia Southern University in June 1988 with a degree in Business Management. Hancock was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and a Big Brother for Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Hancock later received a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. Hancock enjoys college sports and is an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan.
Hancock lives in Atlanta, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida with his wife, Joni, and the couple's two sons, Joshua and Jacob.
