Alexis Renee Ruby
- Actress
- Producer
Alexis Renee Ruby began her love of performing very early in life
starting with dance at the age of 2 and singing at age 5 - her
love of being on stage blossomed from, of all things, participating in
beauty pageants, which was the norm for girls in the deep South. Alexis
won many various titles during her pageant career on local, state,
national and even international levels. By the time Alexis was
elementary school age, it was apparent that her love of performing
needed a larger venue for opportunities. In 2008, she relocated to
Atlanta with her Mom and brother while her Dad stayed in South Georgia
with his job and commuted when possible to support her dreams. She was
offered a position in a performing pre-professional dance company in
Atlanta where she had the privilege of dancing and learning from many
great teachers/artists in performing arts. She also had the opportunity
to be cast in several Broadway vignette roles such as "Anastasia",
first cast lead of "Dorothy" in "Wizard of Oz" and second cast role of
"Scarecrow"; second cast lead of Hope Harcourt in "Anything Goes"; and
first cast lead "Peggy Sawyer" in "42nd Street". During her time in
Atlanta she has been a movie and television extra, and was cast a lead
youth role in the independent SAG feature film "Truth Seekers: The
Music of Souls"; lead actor and show host "Sheena Luxor" in "Peace Code
Radio/TV"; choreographed nationally televised opening numbers; written
several short stories and novels and is even pursuing a recording
contract. Alexis is now represented by Gerra Avery of Avery Sisters
Entertainment based in Atlanta.
