Michelle Ramjee was born in Sydney Australia, to an Indian Father,
Ramesh Ramjee and a Greek mother Wendy (Generalis) Ramjee. She is the
eldest of three daughters.
From 8 years of age she started classes in drama, classical ballet, tap
and jazz. By 14, Michelle was working professionally in various
musicals and shows throughout Sydney.
Juggling high school and performing, Michelle competed in the
Australian Globe Shakespeare Festival against high school students in
N.S.W. After winning that round of the competition, Michelle took on
hundreds of students around Australia and was crowned the Australian
Globe Shakespeare Festival winner for her role as Cleopatra in
Shakespeare's "Antony and Cleopatra".
Michelle was the youngest student to be accepted at The University of
Western Sydney receiving her Bachelor Arts in Theatre, graduating with
Honors with Distinction. Michelle also attended N.I.D.A The National
Institute of Dramatic Arts where she completed her film and Television
acting degree. After various TV commercials, television roles on
"General Practice", "Xena Warrior Princess" and Heart Break High" . She
spent 6 months performing in Tokyo Japan. This lead her travels to the
United States where she was cast alongside Larenz Tate and Akon in the film "Linked".
