Ben Barton is a poet and filmmaker who works exclusively on super 8 film. Created entirely by hand, his analogue films evoke themes of horror, fairy tales, and lost home movies from the British seaside. In 2017 he attended the Cannes Film Festival to premiere Stella Erratica, one of the last projects worked on by David Bowie and his production team, a few weeks before he died.
In the early 1980s, as a young child, he featured in his father's super 8 films, and by age 16 had made dozens of shorts of his own - but didn't begin to publicly screen films until he was in his twenties.
