He is an award-winning screenwriter, a film critic, an award-winning actor, a screenplay consultant, as well as a director. He attended college at Minnesota State University; Moorhead where he received his BA in Theatre, with an emphasis on acting and directing. Michael is an avid horror film fan, with a specific love for the zombie sub-genre. His favorite film is George A. Romero's 1985 release, Day of the Dead.
