The internet is full of all sorts of wild marriage proposals that go viral. Whether you.re surfing Facebook, flipping through Imgur, or even if you.re just surfing our archives here at Cinema Blend . there.s plenty of attention grabbing proposals that you could stumble upon without even trying. Yet there.s something about this particular proposal that caught our eyes. Maybe it.s because instead of using the typical romantic approach, our subject this time around used a different tactic: sheer terror. In a world Yahoo covered the story of Alec Wells, a man who.s taken his girlfriend.s love of John Carpenter.s Halloween to heart. Alec.s girlfriend is Katherine Canipe, the host of Boys And Ghouls - a podcast dedicated to all things horror. Naturally, her favorite horror film is the 1978 classic and being the attentive partner that he is Alec arranged for Katherine...

I hate public proposals. Hate, hate, hate them. Unless they're "Halloween"-themed. Then I am, of course, all in. Bride-to-be Katherine Canipe is a woman after my own heart. I too have gone out of my way to visit a "Halloween" filming location (the "babysitting houses" located just north of the Sunset strip on Orange Grove Ave.) in an attempt to transport myself to the autumnal world of Haddonfield, Illinois. It was neat! But no one popped out of the bushes dressed as Michael Myers to ask for my hand in marriage. (I would have accepted.) "I have a deep and abiding passion for horror -- and while Alec enjoys a good scare from time to time, he doesn't love it as much as I do," Katherine told CNN. "When we go to haunted houses, I'm leading the way and he's screaming and grabbing onto me for dear life. ...It...

Jumping gigawatts, this L.A. couple just won wedding season! Last October, days before Halloween, Alec Wells staged the ultimate proposal for his girlfriend, horror movie fan and Boys and Ghouls podcast host Katherine Canipe. He dressed up like slasher Michael Myers from...Halloween. Wells recently posted a YouTube video of the, er, romantic moment, which took place while they were on a tour of filming locations for the movie. Canipe is led by a friend to her boyfriend, who freaks her out by popping out from around the corner wearing a Myers mask. She is then coaxed into following him and discovers a maskless Wells, crouched down on the sidewalk while holding with a black glove-clad hand a box...

Are you ready to see some serious shit? Two die-hard Back to the Future fans from California have announced their engagement with an amazing mocked-up poster.
On the left, as Marty McFly, is Alec Wells, and on the right, as Doc Brown, is his girlfriend - now fiancée - Katherine Canipe.
Called "Here's To The Future", the photo was Canipe's idea: one brought to life by professional photographer Ricky Middlesworth.
Revealing this awe-inspiring artwork on Reddit, the happy couple explained that they are both huge movie buffs, and both work in the entertainment industry.
Needless to say, if you're lucky enough to be invited to the wedding, your invitation will feature - you guessed it - this design as its centrepiece. We can only hope for an "Enchantment Under The Sea" theme for the reception.
Canipe decided on this delightfully nerdy engagement announcement after her Bttf Bff proposed to her...
