Andy Levett is a grip based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.
Since 2006 Levett has been working in the film industry. Originally he started as a driver, however he's been working as a grip since 2011. He gained an NVQ Level 2 in 2013 from BECTU (Broadcasting, Entertainment, Communications and Theatre Union), of which he is a member.
In January 1990, Levett attended Bassingbourn Village College in Bassingbourn cum Kneesworth, Cambridgeshire, England, UK.
In May 1997 he joined the British Army where he went on to become a corporal. He served for seven years with the Colchester-based 13 Air Assault Royal Logistics Corps - part of the parachute battalion.
Upon leaving the army, Levett co-founded OTG (One True Grit) Events with his business partner Paul John Hildrow, in his hometown of Bassingbourn, to create fun, outdoor events for members of the public. It started on the 28th & 29th of September 2013 at Kingswood Bury Farm in Baldock, Hertfordshire, with an annual, 10 kilometre, obstacle course, charity race called One True Grit (OTG), which raised £2,500 for Prostate Cancer UK. The 2015 "One True Grit" race raised £18,000 for charity. Since 2017 the OTG Events "One True Grit" race, has been run by Paul "Harry" Harrison, who also owns the permanent OTG - Obstacle Training Ground in Bassingbourn.
