After watching Star Wars when Thomas was ten-years-old, his parents
bought him a Bell and Howell 8mm movie camera. From then on he was
hooked. In the years that followed, Thomas went to film school at
Ithaca College. Whilst there, his film, Wonderland won best
cinematography at the Honey and Buddy campus film festival and went on
to be chosen for Previews 5, a compilation of the best films made at
Ithaca College in 2004. He went on to graduate school where he earned
an MFA in Media Production from The City University of New York.
Thomas Cznarty is an Associate Professor at Palm Beach State College, where he teaches cinematography in the Motion Picture department. Thomas Cznarty is also an award winning filmmaker and media producer with a strong background in film and television production.
