Radio National presenter Michael Duffy has announced his resignation. The co-host of Counterpoint has been with the show since 2004.

Radio National has today announced the resignation of Michael Duffy, the co-host of Counterpoint, who is leaving the broadcaster to pursue other interests. He has presented the program since 2004, and since 2007 alongside co-host Paul Comrie Thompson.
Acting Station Manager Amanda Armstrong thanked Michael Duffy for his service to the network.
“Counterpoint has become an important vehicle to provide commentary on social, economic and cultural issues in Australian life. We’ll miss Michael Duffy’s thoughtful and engaging contribution which has proven popular with many listeners. I’d like to thank him for contributing to the range of opinions which help to make the station a vital part of contemporary conversations.”
Michael Duffy confirmed that after 8 years with Radio National, he is leaving to pursue an advisory role with the Nsw government.
