- Amanda Michaels attended the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television on an acting scholarship and appeared in a number of stage and screen productions before deciding to pursue other passions, ultimately graduating from UCLA with a degree in Study of World Religions, emphasis on Buddhist Meditation Traditions. After college, Amanda focused on her continued interest in meditation and channeled her creativity toward photography under the name Amanda Iyana Michaels. In 2023, she returned to the film industry as producer, director, and production designer on Leading Man, a Screencraft Short Film Screenplay Finalist, written by her longtime friend, creative partner, and fellow director, Whitney Houser.
