David Kano holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication and Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism. He started his entertainment career in acting and modeling before segueing into directing, producing, and writing films. Kano made his feature documentary directorial debut in Concussed: The American Dream (2023) which features NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre. His follow-up filmCombat: The American Dream includes boxing greats: Roy Jones Jr., Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, and Floyd Mayweather Sr. Kano's distributed scripted work (anti-bullying film A Perfect Prank (2011)) has garnered praise from critics for bringing attention to teen suicide and bullying. Kano's third feature documentary on UFC fighters will detail the risks and rewards and he is producing a faith based feature film 'Dream Big.' His journalistic work in MMA and boxing has led to Kano appearing or being quoted by: CNN, Bleacher Report, The Washington Times, Yahoo Sports, and SB Nation for his expertise on combat sports.
