Is CBS about to cash out on its 2 Broke Girls investment?
The long-running sitcom is heading into its Season 6 finale without a renewal in its back pocket, and oddsmakers say the series has an even-money chance of returning next fall.
One thing’s for certain: Monday’s closer (9:30/8:30c) was not designed as a series finale, maintains co-showrunner Michelle Nader.
“This is not the end for these girls,” the Ep insists. “We’re not finished and we don’t want to be finished and I don’t think the audience is finished. Obviously there’s no guarantee that we will be back,...

Confirming what we pretty much already knew, Fox announced on Monday afternoon that Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. will return as "American Idol" judges for next spring's 14th installment. The network also cleared up the general lack of suspense surrounding Ryan Seacrest and his return. Short version? Yes. Ryan Seacrest will maintain his place as "American Idol" Designated Continuity. Without Kevin Reilly or anybody currently filling Kevin Reilly's position, Fox had to mix things up with its network statements. "Jennifer, Keith, Harry and Ryan are the very best in the business at what they do, and I’m thrilled that they are returning to 'American Idol' for another season. Each brings unique qualities and expertise to the team, but they all share the same passion for helping undiscovered singers achieve the American dream," blurbs David Hill, Senior Executive Vice President, 21st Century Fox. Tori Spelling‘s ABC Family pilot Mystery Girls might turn into a 90210 reunion as TVLine reports that Jennie Garth is likely to be cast as Spelling’s co-star. Since Mystery Girls is about the two stars of a cancelled mystery drama who find themselves solving real crimes. I think this calls for 90210 fanfic about how Donna Martin and Kelly Taylor open a detective agency.
Sorry Camp fans, you’ll have to spend next summer someplace else. NBC has cancelled the summer dramedy.

Everyone seems just as pumped for the Jay-z-produced soundtrack for "The Great Gatsby" as they are for the flick itself. But before we look ahead at what The Hova has in store for what we can only imagine will be the coolest-ever soundtrack to something you were forced to read in high school, let's look back at some of the all-time great movie songs.
Feature by Adam D'Arpino
20. Three 6 Mafia: 'Hard Out Here For a Pimp' ('Hustle & Flow')
Three 6 Mafia took home the Oscar for Best Original Song for this jam that confirmed what we had all already suspected: Pimpin' ain't easy. Terrence Howard and Taryn Manning's performances in "Hustle & Flow" were stellar, but there's little doubt that Three 6 Mafia's Oscar appearance, combined with host Jon Stewart's verbal Oscar tally ("Three 6 Mafia 1, Martin Scorcese 0") is what everyone remembers most about the movie.

Chevy Chase, the guy who basically torpedoed his role on "Community," seems to be changing his mind about popping up in a reboot of the franchise that helped make his name. The upcoming "Vacation" has been brewing for a while now, but back in 2011 he made it clear he wasn't interested in playing second fiddle in any series he helped start. And in fact, he was writing his own sequel script. "I’ve written an idea that would be basically like a 'Swiss Family Griswold.' There’s a cruise, there’s a fire on the ship, we think the whole ship’s on fire and we jump—it’s just a little fire—and we end up on an island where we meet Randy somewhere who’s been left there from an old 'Survivor' series," he explained. "I like that idea. It’s hard to sell these things to the Warners people.

She’s been called one of the show’s biggest villains ever by host Jeff Probst, but Corinne Kaplan did not do anything devious in the game to earn that distinction when she appeared on Survivor: Gabon. She did not backstab or betray anyone in her alliance. What she did do, however, was talk nasty to and about people she did not like, especially her arch nemesis, Sugar. So as Corinne returns to play Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs Favorites, it will be interesting to see if her tribemates respond to her loyalty or recoil from her negativity. (John...

There is always a lot of talk about how notoriously-eccentric Bill Murray is, what with his 800 number that he uses to funnel film requests through, his penchant for showing up unannounced to frat parties, and a detached indifference to the mainstream Hollywood crowd. But what often gets overlooked is that there is another 1970s Saturday Night Live alum that may even exceed Murray in curmudgeonly weirdness - Mr. Chevy Chase. There are plenty of actors who I think are just fantastic in their craft and total a-holes in real life (Tom Cruise). But strangely, when it comes to Chevy, comparing his mostly-lovable film characters to the myriad of stories floating around out there about how much of a cranky old bastard he is in real life has always stumped me a little. It's almost like I've just never been able to admit that Clark Griswold is really a jerk, or...

Last month, "Horrible Bosses" writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein turned in their second draft of the script for a reboot of National Lampoon's "Vacation," which has become a top priority for Warner Bros. The story focuses on a grown-up Rusty Griswold who decides to take his own wife and kids on a road trip to Wally World before it closes forever. Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo are expected to return as the grandparents. Now in an interview with Collider, Chase has revealed that he's not interested in returning to his old movies if he won't star in them. He added that he wrote his own "Vacation" script that he hopes will be made instead of the version that the studio is currently working on. "Actually Beverly D'Angelo and I have been working on our own script, which is pretty dang funny," he said. "I've written an idea that...

There’s no number to text your vote for Coke and Ford, but the brands have fused themselves to Fox’s pop star machine. Here’s how.
Tuesday night, on part one of the season finale of American Idol, Taio Cruz performed "Positive," a song co-written by fans online and co-produced by Coca-Cola. It’s part of Coke’s Perfect Harmony campaign, and the soda maker’s in the middle of its 125th anniversary. Wednesday night, Ford will present each of the final two contestants, Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery, with a Ford Focus for their favorite teacher--part of the automaker’s Drive One 4 Ur School program.
Somehow, none of it feels especially icky. To steal another product’s tagline for Ford, Coke, and American Idol: You’ve come a long way, baby.

With that one little word on "American Idol" Wednesday night, Haley Reinhart offered a devastatingly sarcastic "J'accuse!" for one of the most frustrating seasons in reality show memory. To the judges who have consistently slammed her while praising anything and everything from other contestants, to the judges who last night declared the best first-song performance was a three-way between everyone not named Haley, Ms. Reinhart turned and said, with equal parts frustration, anger and sadness, "Thanks."
And thus, she encapsulated the emotions of so many "Idol" voters, who can't quite understand why Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez just don't seem to like Haley, as a singer and a person. Ultimately, though, the voting is up to us,...

Well, Aaron Kelly went home, which was kind of a shock, but not really. Also, Lady Gaga performed on tape from last week, so I watched her performance of "Alejandro" on a screen, just like you. The Dragon Slayer was slain on "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains." Find out what he has to say about Rob, Russell and his relationship with Jerri Manthey.
Were you surprised to be a Villain and not a Hero when you were asked to come back? Did you want to be on the Heroes tribe?
I think based on my actions in the first time around, I was surprised. Based on the polarizing effect I had on the United States of America, so I wasn't. So yes and no. When I found out it was Heroes and Villains, I said, "I know what tribe I'm going to be on." [laughs]
Why did you cast the lone vote for Courtney last week when Boston Rob went home? Why not tie it up by voting for Russell or conversely side with Russell and vote for Rob?

What made you want to do "Survivor" for a third time?
I love the game. I love the competition of it. Sometimes I feel like I was born to play it and when CBS and Mark Burnett called, it was an honor and a no-brainer. I mean, the game has given me so much over the years and it'd be crazy not to go back again.
Are you glad you did, now that it's all over?
Absolutely. I had a phenomenal time. I had a lot of fun competing again and playing the game. It was a good experience.
Why do you think you and Russell were so against each other right off the bat?...

"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" sent James Clement and his bum knee packing Thursday, March 25. Find out what he has to say about his tribe, his knee injury and the bullying.

No, ma'am not really ... in challenges I played my own part. You don't have to be fast and run all the time. Like in the challenge when I wore the blindfold and gave them directions. There's more ways to help than to just be physical all the time. In challenges I was going to help them win, so I just played on.

'Survivor' villain Tyson Apostol: Russell 'had nothing to do with it,' 'you could tell he was slimy'
"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" sent home only the second villain -- Tyson Apostol. Find out how he feels about Russell, Rob and "American Idol."
We got a little sidetracked with Tyson at first, delving into some "American Idol" talk. He isn't a Kara fan and thinks Ellen is trying too hard. He also thinks the show will suffer without Simon Cowell.
But let's jump into the "Survivor" talk.
How did the blindside happen? How did Russell get you to change your vote?
Why do people keep asking me that?! [laughs] Russell had nothing to do with it. I wanted Parvati gone more than Russell. I knew Russell had the Idol, I knew he'd made an alliance with Parvati and I knew if Parvati was gone he'd have nowhere to turn but me. I also knew Parvati had people on the other side. Whether she'd align with them, I don't know, but it helps to know people.

"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" has seen the Hero tribe lose 4 out of the first 5 Immunity Challenges. Tom Westman was the latest booted contestant.
What made you want to do Survivor again?
Originally it was very easy to say no. I said no to "Fans vs. Favorites" and I said no to this initially. My wife, who was responsible for sending me out the first time, she started working on me -- "I'm afraid you'll regret it, the opportunity's not going to come around again." It's such a fun game. Just to get out and play against these people, it was an opportunity that was tough to say no to.
Were you excited to be a Hero? And then were you disappointed by the Heroes tribe?
You know, I didn't put too much stock in that labeling. If anything, I kind of cringed because you know some of these idiots are...

"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" saw Cirie Fields leave in its first blindside. She talks to Zap2it about the Heroes' lack of cohesiveness and the huge threat in Tom Westman.
On her time between "Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites" and "Heroes vs. Villains":
A really cool thing I got to do was go to Afghanistan and support the troops. That was amazing. But mainly it's just been work and my family.
On why she wanted to do "Survivor" for a third time:
It's almost like an addition, especially for fans and lovers of the game, which I am. You know, I haven't completed my run on "Survivor." I still don't feel complete because I've made it to the end, I've gotten booted out early, I've experienced the gamut of "Survivor" except my name on that check! [laughs] That's what brought me back. I felt like maybe I could win this thing.

Confucius says: "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." In tonight's episode of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, tears were shed and glory achieved for one united tribe, while the other tribe's dissension resulted in defeat and betrayal. Tonight's surprising backstabber says: "Tomorrow we make our apologies, tonight we make our move." So which tribe delivered a Tribal Council smackdown? And how do the Castaways really get to Tribal Council anyway? Let's break down the breakdowns... The Cure for Crybabyitis: Last week, Randy said Coach is an "honorable guy...His confessional last night brought a tear to my eye." Tonight it...

Cirie Fields got voted off 'Survivor' 20 in episode 4. The show kicked off with scenes from last weeks episode when Randy got voted off. The they showed more commentary from the two tribes. Coach was upset with Sandra for downing him at last weeks tribal counsel meeting. He actually broke down and cried, and said he wanted to leave this week. Rob came over and sort of cheered him up,and told him to act like a man. Then they headed over to their next rewards challenge. Each member had to slide down and get a ball then shoot it into a special basket. The first one to get it into the basket, won a point. The first tribe to win 4 points, won the rewards challenge. The "Villains" just edged out the "Heroes," and won 4-3 to take the rewards challenge.

Voting at the Survivor Heroes vs Villians tribal council was pretty much a clean sweep. Everyone voted out Randy, except for of course, Randy, who seemed to know he would be leaving so threw a vote in for Boston Rob. Clip below:

At the conclusion of this week's Survivor episode, Randy Bailey was voted out of the competition.
But the veteran castaway is leaving the spotlight quietly. In an exit interview with E! News, among other topics, he shares his candid feelings on our favorite contestant, Boston Rob.
"I could go on for hours," Randy said of Rob. "He turned on me. Some of this goes back to being a fan of the show and watching All-Stars. Lex was right. This game is not just a game, it's also life. It's evolved into something that I'm not particularly crazy about. It's too much of a game now. It leads to a lot of undeserving people making it far in the game. I'm not saying I should win, but I miss the old days.

In this "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" season, should the first castaway evicted from the Villains tribe be considered the most villainous of all or the least villainous? If it's the latter, then Thursday (February 25) night's Tribal Council only confirms what I've been saying about Randy Bailey since "Survivor: Gabon." Randy is surly and crotchety and terse and an assortment of other synonyms meaning the same thing, but he's not a Villain. He's just a prickly guy with high expectations for people around him and absolutely no filter when it comes to sharing that opinion, especially with the cameras...

Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains star Randy Bailey has claimed that he does not respect the gameplay of Russell Hantz or Boston Rob. The 49-year-old from Missouri became the third player - and first Villain - to be eliminated from Samoa this week, after losing the Tribal Council vote six votes to one. "I don't respect the way either one of them plays - I just don't. They are both out there trying (more)...

After two weeks on top, last night the Villains tribe on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains brought the heat everywhere but during the immunity challenge. Thanks to blossoming showmances (Coach and Jerri! Russell and Parvati!) and the drama of having to vote someone out for the first time, the Survivor bad guys finally started to show their true colors and true alliances. The vote came down to the manipulative Parvati Shallow and the tribe's weakest link, Randy Bailey, and in the end, 50-year-old Bailey got the boot. The former Survivor: Gabon player talked with TVGuide.com about his flirtatious tribemates, what the Heroes need to do to get ahead and the story behind the burning of the buff...

Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains star Randy Bailey has claimed that he knew he would be leaving the show this week. The wedding videographer, who previously competed in Survivor: Gabon, became the third person - and first Villain - to leave the jungle last night, and threw his buff in the fire as he left the camp. "Burning the buff wasn't anger, I wasn't angry. This is the first Tribal Council where I wasn't the slightest bit nervous," he explained. "I knew I was (more)...

The Villains lost their first Immunity Challenge on Thursday night's "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" in a shut-out victory, making it their first visit to Tribal Council. It was incredible to watch the lines being drawn in camp as the tribe negotiated who would be going home. It looked as if it would be Parvati, because several of the players weren't happy with the fact that she was once again perceived to be flirting her way to the $1 million prize, so it was a surprise when Randy Bailey's name was read by host Jeff Probst. Et: Is playing the game different when you are playing with returning survivors as opposed to first-time players? Randy Bailey: It is a totally different game. More importantly, a normal "Survivor" with all-new players has become a different game than "Survivor" 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. A game like this, you have built-in friendships and built-in enemies. It is completely different.

After giving itself a nice long mud bath, Survivor: Heroes vs Villains claimed its third victim Thursday night, and the choice was far from a surprising one. 50-year-old Randy Bailey claimed before the game that he was in it to win it, but truthfully, he never stood a chance. He was neither strong enough to help in challenges, nor social enough to get into the good graces of his younger tribemates who talked all episode long about needing to get rid of Parvati, yet deemed Randy more expendable instead. Randy called into EW.com this morning to talk all...

"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" finally saw a Villain get the boot -- Randy Bailey. He talks to Zap2it about his tribe and not trusting Russell or Rob at all.
Were you surprised to go out first?
No, I wasn't surprised. I sensed early in the game that there might be some problems because the young girls would have us rebuild the shelter every day and you just don't bark out orders like that unless you know you're safe. I knew going to that challenge that if we lost, I was going home. It was the first Tribal Council I've ever been to where I wasn't the slightest bit nervous.
When we saw the lone vote for Rob, we thought maybe that was Russell just trying to mess with Rob but it was actually you. Why did you vote for Rob?

Hello fellow Survivor fans! My name is Michael Salerno and I will be offering some recaps of the granddaddy of all reality shows for the remainder of the season. I truly am a fanatic of the show, owning not only a Survivor buff, the Survivor board game, and a Survivor Christmas ornament, but have applied to the show more than a couple times (here's just one of my audition videos, from last year). Enough about me though…let's take a look at what happened last night on….Survivor!
The third episode of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains opens at the Heroes camp post-Tribal Council. James is still angry about what happened during Tribal so Tom, out of probable self-preservation, tries to calm the big guy down. Also trying to make amends, Jt approaches Tom with apologies for going against Tom and voting Stephenie out. Jt realized he was at the bottom...

Randy Baily 2nd eliminated from 'Survivor' 20. Thursday night's episode of CBS' hit reality seres "Survivor: Heroes vs Villains" was even more intense than the previous week's, particulary when watching the villains. Now that they've been camping out together since the start of the season, they are starting to discover things about one another that they did not know upon their arrival on the island.
If you've been following this season of "Survivor" then you know that the heroes were forced to attend tribal counsel the last two weeks. During the challenge last night, however, the heroes absolutely dominated forcing the villains to tribal counsel for the first time. While Parvarti seemed to be the most likely to go, she's known for her manipulation and she certainly worked her magic last night in order to remain in the game. Unfortunately for Randy Bailey, it was his last night on the island.

Watching Jeff Probst read the votes last night, I felt for a moment like we were watching old-school Survivor, where the editing didn't really give us any indication of what the final vote would be, nor did it explain why the person got voted out. In those old episodes, it seemed to be a surprise to everyone. Of course, Randy was set up as a probable and easy first out for the Villains--he's non-controversial and...

Previously On… Survivor When last I left you…James appeared to be in the beginning stages of losing his mind. Last week's tribal council ended with the very ugly and unnecessary comment from James to Stephenie: "Shut your mouth." Ah, so lovely. Look, I've been a big fan of James from day one. I voted for him to be on Fans vs. Favorites and I voted for him to be on Heroes vs. Villains and up until this season I would have referred to him with affectionate phrases like "James the Gentle Giant." After two tremendous episodes to kick off Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, the bar might have been set too high for the this week's installment.
We had been treated to dramatic challenges, unexpected ousters, great tribal discord and plenty of great quotes. Unfortunately, the third episode didn’t really give us any of these things and the show suffered because of it.
Despite an early confrontation between Coach, Boston Rob and Russell about Parvati where the two former Villains try to warn Russell about his relationship with the Survivor: Micronesia winner, nothing comes of it later in the episode after the Villains get thumped in the immunity challenge. CBS tried its best to build up the drama about whether Randy or Parvati were heading home, but the vote clearly indicates that the tribe was unified in sending Randy home.
An interesting side effect of Boston Rob and Coach’s confrontation...

Randy Bailey got eliminated from 'Survivor' 20: Heroes vs. Villains in episode 3. The show kicked off with scenes from last weeks episode when Stephanie Lagrossa got eliminated. Then they showed more commentary with the tribes. Rob said that he doesn't trust Russell at all. The "Heroes" tribe caught a couple of chickens. Coach said that Russell is walking on thin ice. Coach said Parvarti is manipulative. Russell said that Rob thinks he's running the camp. Parvarti said she trust Russell even though he's sort of a lunatic. Randy said Parvarti gets ahead by looking pretty and schmoozing people. J.T. said Candace scares him a little bit with her very strategic mind. James told Candace that she needs to chill out all the intense mental game play and try to win the challenges. Next, they headed to their immunity challenge for this week,...

It's the oldest rule in entertainment: When in doubt, make half-naked people wrestle each other into a huge pit of mud. In just two days, a tribe of heroic, veteran castaways will do battle with a tribe of manipulative villains on the special 20th edition of Survivor.
For weeks, we've been previewing each contestant on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, but now it's time to assess the entire field. Who stands the best chance of walking away with $1 million and a rightful claim to the title of Best Survivor Player Ever?
Place your bets according to the following odds...
Heroes:
Amanda Kimmel: 40-1. Look for her to team up with former China castmate James Clement Candice Woodcock: 200-1. “I think viewers are probably wondering, like, what I am doing here," she said. So do her tribe mates. Not good for her long term prospects. Cirie Fields: 60-1. Cirie will certainly make the merge, but there’s no way the villains will allow her to win. Colby Donaldson (pictured):...
