- In early 1996, while working with numerous musicians including, Gerald Johnson, bass player for the Steve Miller Band, and Sheila E., Johnson would always yell out, "Shea Chambers in the house," to differentiate between Sheila E., and Sheilah C. Sheilah Chambers became Shea Chambers.
- Shea has a passion for interior design, and is the president of HMDesign Vision, the interior design division for Holden Media Development.
- While singing in a nightclub in Detroit in 1978, Chambers discovered that singer Philippé Wynne of The Spinners was in the audience. Wynne was invited to come sing with Chambers. Philippé was impressed with Chambers' voice, and took her under his wing to work with her as a mentor. Although a great learning experience for Chambers, not much happened for her career during the 6-month period.
- Shea started her career with her given name Sheila, but after moving to Los Angeles, she changed the spelling to "Sheilah".
- Chambers drove from Detroit to Los Angeles with $500.00, her parakeet and belongings to advance her music career.
- While working with the China Club Allstars, Shea was seen and performed with celebs such as Prince, Elton John, Madonna and Sting.
- Shea sang background vocals on music for Barry White, Bobby Womack, Michael Bolton, Rickie Lee Jones, Lou Reed and many more.
- Shea was one of the lead vocalists in the China Club Allstars Band consisting of Billy Preston, Herbie Hancock and the "Tower of Power" horns.
