After getting a degree in architecture and working in NYC for a dozen years, Dan came to the conclusion he wasn't going to have his own firm, and didn't want to spend the rest of his life working on other people's ideas, he wanted others to work on his. So he started taking screenwriting classes at NYU. Along the way he worked as a story analyst for two production companies, and freelanced as a 3D animator, photographer, and wedding videographer.
His first script was optioned and script four, a sci-fi space thriller called Tranquility Base, placed high in several competitions, sold to Fox, and went into development at Scott Free. He's also shot several documentary shorts, one of which won the Coney Island Film Festival, the Cannes of Brooklyn.
A world traveler who's bungee jumped in New Zealand and swam with penguins in the Galapagos, Dan is a proud member of the Coney Island Polar Bear Club, the oldest cold water swim club in the country. So if you have a script that requires Leo DiCaprio to jump in a freezing river or ocean, he's your guy.
Dan currently lives in Manhattan. In the past he's been represented by Brooklyn Weaver at Energy Entertainment and David Saunders at APA. He currently has six completed feature screenplays a half hour dramedy Pilot, and a pitch for a second TV show, mostly comedy.
