Even before the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Dceu’s aspirations of building a cohesive, interconnected universe had come to an abrupt end with the prospect of a big-scale reboot spanning through upcoming live-action and animated ventures. For fans who grew up in the late 1990s, when DC’s diversified animated ventures dominated the pop culture scene, or even earlier than that, when in printed comics DC exemplified absolute dominance in sheer variety and quality of titles, it was inconceivable that its first attempt at live-action world-building would meet a disastrous end—let alone not even come close to replicating the success of the aforementioned mediums. However, even amidst the haphazard, clueless continuity problems, poor reception, and mismanagement, there were silver linings in the form of some iconic moments scattered across sixteen movies and a TV series, which fans will surely remember in years to come. As we bid farewell to Dceu,...

All good things come to an end, and so has the third season of the CW’s Superman & Lois. After taking the viewers through an adeptly written, emotional roller-coaster of a season that primarily dealt with cancer awareness and the prospect of human mortality, the finale of the third season ended in a massive cliffhanger that saw Superman and Bizarro Doomsday going at each other’s throats on the surface of the moon. Lex Luthor made his presence felt in the last two episodes of the season, and in the fourth one, which has already been confirmed, Man of Steel’s arch-enemy will have more of a substantial role to play. With the possibility of one of the most important comics being adapted in the aftermath of the third season, let’s take a look at all the hinted plot points that can be explored next year in Superman & Lois.

One of the major aspects that contemporary pop-culture movie franchises, which rely heavily on interconnected storytelling spanning multiple forms of content, need is coherent world-building that can hook regular viewers easily. Out of the two major comic-book-oriented movie franchises, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has learned the trick and capitalized on it properly from the get-go, but unfortunately, the counterpart of its rival franchise, the DC Extended Universe (Dceu), has time and again faced hurdles in its journey of expansive world-building and eventually reached rock bottom. With the release of the much-anticipated 13th movie of the franchise, The Flash, the Dceu will be officially terminated and make way for a new, more coherent DC Universe (Dcu) under James Gunn’s guidance. The movie itself is going to deal with multiple plotlines from the Dceu itself and also from other storylines that are not directly connected with it, and in order...

This post contains spoilers for The Flash.
In our universe, the first Superman movie after the Cannon Films flop Superman IV: The Quest for Peace was Superman Returns, the pseudo II sequel starring Brandon Routh. But in in other realities, the J.J. Abrams and McG project Superman Flyby was next to bring the Man of Steel back to the screen, or the Wolfgang Petersen-directed Batman v Superman, featuring Johnny Depp as Batman. But in the greatest of all realities, Superman returned in Superman Lives, an adaptation of the Death of Superman story directed by Tim Burton and starring Nicolas Cage as Kal El.
And if there’s one thing that modern superhero movies love apparently, it’s alternate realities. In fact, the multiverse has been the primary selling point for the long-delayed DC movie The Flash. What was originally intended to be a spin-off from the DC Universe established...

Significant new revelations take place in the seventh episode of Superman & Lois, and the midseason finale showcases a heartbreaking, poignant performance from the exceptional leads. In the previous episode, it was revealed that Lois’ new friend Peia, who is suffering from cancer too, is the alias of the murderous enforcer of Bruno named Onomatopoeia, who is the wife of the crime lord as well. We also saw that, acknowledging the worst consequences of her cancer treatment, Lois prepared her last will and other end-of-life term papers, much to Clark’s distress. These two incidents leave a significant impact later on and change the narrative flow, which is explored through “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.”
Spoilers Ahead
What Made Jon Even More Anxious About Lois’ Condition?
Cancer treatment is an immensely physically and mentally demanding procedure, and both Lois and Clark realize that as Lois goes through the fourth round of chemo.
