Tabitha D'umo is one half of the married dancing duo Tabitha and
Napoleon, commonly referred to as Nappytabs. They are two time Emmy
winners (2011 and 2014) for Outstanding Choreography on So You Think
You Can Dance. They have a total of four Emmy nominations, one World of
Dance Award, one Dancer's Choice Award, and the 2014 Industry
Innovator's Award.
Together they created and own Nappytabs, a popular brand of urban dancewear, and in 2010 opened their store in North Hollywood.
Tabitha and Napoleon grew up on opposite coasts and met as students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In 2008, they became familiar to mainstream audiences as judges and choreographers on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance where they were responsible for creating the new dance style known as 'lyrical hip hop.' That same year, Nappytabs became the driving creative force behind MTV's hit show America's Best Dance Crew. Since then they have worked on numerous other hit series including ABC's Dancing With The Stars, Disney's Shake It Up, NBC's America's Got Talent, ABC's Suburgatory and FOX's X Factor. They have also served as on-camera hosts/judges for FOX's Mobbed, TLC's Rock The Reception, Oxygen's Dance Your Ass Off, and MTV's Beyond Dance. Additional TV credits include executive producing FOX's Mobbed, and creative producing both FOX's American Idol and ABC's Sing Your Face Off.
The pair has provided creative direction and choreography for awards shows including the Grammy's, the Emmy's, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and Kids Choice Awards.
Over the years the duo have worked with top music artists including Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Arianna Grande, Jesse J, Ed Sheeran, Prince, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, Sean Kingston, 50 Cent, Ricky Martin, and Madonna's 2012 Superbowl Halftime Show. Most recently they have directed sell out shows nationwide for Derek & Julianne Hough's MOVE Tour. They have also mounted/Directed JabbaWockeez MUS.I.C and PRISM stage shows globally. Nappytabs have been active with Cirque Du Soleil and worked on several of productions including The Beatles: Love, Mystere, KA, Iris, Viva Elvis, and Michael Jackson: The Immortal World.
Nappytabs, now parents, teach dance to kids at conventions worldwide. They serve on the board at Dizzy Feet Foundation, and are involved with a variety of charities.
