Jasmin Tavarez
- Actress
A native of New York City, Jasmin Tavarez was raised in the Lower East
Side of Manhattan/East Village.
Always being amidst the buzz of the theater, music and fashion she found it difficult not to some how participate in the arts. Jasmin was enrolled in acting classes when she was eight years old at Henry Street Settlement, a community center near her neighborhood. She went to Cathedral High School, an all-girl Catholic school, but still continued to include herself in theater in any way possible. She took classes in Ballet, Hip-Hop, Drawing, Pottery, Play-Writing and Musical Theater.
After graduating high school she was accepted into Juilliard and graduated with a B.F.A. in Acting. Some of her ideal theatrical roles would be to play Matilde in Sarah Ruhl's play, "The Clean House" and/or Marela in Nilo Cruz's "Anna in the Tropics".
In 2010 she moved to Los Angeles and her goal is to get booked as a series regular in a comedy T.V. show. She thanks her close friends and family for being insanely supportive and attributes them for her success through out her career thus far.
